Hello all!
We're arriving at WDW Aug 8 between 1 and 2 after driving from TX all night.( we have a 3 yr old that we're hoping will sleep during the night in the car instead of being cranky because he has to sit in a carseat for 15 hrs). Anyway, I figure we'll unpack have a early dinner you know things like that. My dh is going to want to sleep then, but its going to be early and this is my first trip after wanting to go since i was like 5. What can ds and I do besides watch tv while dh is snoring away. I don't want to use our park passes until monday because their only 5 day passes and we'll be there until sat afternoon when we leave. I know ya'll can give me some great ideas.
Thanks a bunch

Where are you staying ? Sometimes there are enough activities at the hotel - especially on site.

When you arrive at the CBR, you can take a walk and check out the area outside of your building. Hang around on the beach, play on the jungle gym. Take a walk over to the lobby area, swim in the theme pool, check out the immediate area. You will be able to see part of the EPCOT illuminations display around the 9pm hour.

Not enough?
Hop a bus over to the MK for a preview. Take the monorail around the resorts and check out each resort. See if you can both announce in Spanish how to stand clear of the doors!

CBR has a great pool, and you're a short bus ride away from DTD. You can also hit the Boardwalk. Take the bus to MGM and then walk or take the boat to Boardwalk.

One word Downtown Disney to browsing in the shops. Check out Fort Wildness Resort to see the animals.

I would take the bus to Downtown Disney. You can have a wonderful time and spend virtually nothing !

The huge World of Disney store is a treat in itself (@50,000 sq ft) -- there is the toy store, where often the CMs play games with you and the kids earn certificates for their play -- Lego has a store but you need not go in, there are plenty of lego outside to play with and very large lego sculptures -- sometimes on the stage are singers for children -- there are water fountains that shoot from the ground -- go look at the Rainforest Cafe, outside are animals and in the store are animals and beautiful giant fish aquariums -- get an ice cream -- enjoy the sites and the people.

We often start our first evening there, and the walk & fresh air give us a good night sleep.

Leaving in 5 days :wave2:

I vote for DTD as well. You can walk around for an hour or two and pick out things that you may want to buy later in your stay. The ice cream shop there is absolutely spectacular, and I have tons of fun in the Lego Store and the candy store. Even the McDonalds is a little better than average and worth a trip because they have lots of yummy desserts!

If dh doesn't mind you having a meal without him, you can do an early character dinner at one of the resorts... 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian has Cinderella & Her Storybook Friends... and Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary has Mickey & Friends...
