?? about final payment

Hello!

My husband's wonderful ($&^#!) company decided to split up his bonus over two mths instead of giving a lump sum in his last check. We were planning on using that to pay our trip off, but looks like we will be able to pay down half of the vacation instead. We are going to WDW Feb 27th-March 5th...it states our final payment is due Jan 13th- I don't know if the other half of the bonus will be in by then. What happens if we miss that date??

I tried called WD travel, but they are closed (of course) and I am up wondering...can anyone advise?

I know someone else posted about this once and WDW worked with her and gave her some extra time. I'd call them when they open and explain.
 
Are you buying the Dining Plan as part of your package? If so you could cancel that, so the total would drop. Then re-add the dining plan closer to your trip once your bonus as come in. (the dining plan can be added up until 10days prior to your visit)
 

I believe they will cancel your trip if it is not paid for.

Honestly, this is a VERY important question to the OP. WHY, would you answer this with something you "believe", without actually knowing the answer?
 
Normally they will give you some wiggle room, up until about the 30 day mark, before they cancel. THAT SAID, you need to call them and speak to them about it as they have the right to cancel for no payment anytime after that 45 day mark. I have yet to hear about a situation where if someone called to speak to them about their problem that they were canceled.
 
Thanks for all the suggestions! I guess I was more panicked than I should have been :). My husband reminded me we could wait on the airfare, so that was one less puchase that needed to be made...so I reallocated sone funds. :)
 
They won't cancel your reservation until you are 30 days out. For some reason, my final payment (sent on day 45) was delayed and I got an email telling me that my payment was late. In the email, it said that my reservation would be canceled if I still hadn't paid when I was 30 days out. This was only a few weeks ago.

Wording from email:

THIS RESERVATION WILL AUTOMATICALLY CANCEL AT 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE DEPARTURE DATE SHOWN ABOVE.
 
Another option, if it comes to it and passes are included in your package, is to downgrade to 2 day passes for everyone, no hopping no pluses. They can be upgraded when you can pay for it, or anytime within 14 days of first use.
