Since we are going to spend the night off property and then go to Disney first thing the next morning, we aren't sure if we will check-in at our resort first, or if we'll just leave our things in the car and head to MK since they will be opening early. My question is this-Would we need to check-in first to be able to take advantage of the EMH or would they be able to check our reservation? Just wanted to see how this was handled so we would know which route we should take! TIA!

Yea you would have to check in. AK is opening early saturdaya nd we are going to have to check in to our resort first then go to AK for EMH

Best to swing by the WDW resort VERY EARLY and check in (room probably won't be ready yet, but no biggie).
You'll EACH want to get your key-cards that morning and that'll get you into EMH with no hassles.

I agree -- you should check in to your hotel before hitting the parks. The side-benefit of checking in this early is that the check-in line shouldn't be too long!
