I was looking on the website and it specifies that one must be 10 to participate. I will have an almost 10 son (1month shy). Could I get by with lying just a bit or would the attraction be inappropriate for him. Please no flames, I didn't realize how quickly Discovery Cove booked up and we cant' get a reservation there for our next trip (October), so I was thinking this would be next best thing.

I'd say that he was 10. There might be some people on the board that disagree with me and that you are teaching him a bad lesson etc. Don't tell him he has to be 10 to do the close up and you've got him covered on that end. ;) You'll just be the only knowing that you aren't being honest about it. ENJOY!

There was just a baby dolphin born August 1st! You said October right? They cancelled all classes for I think they said a month, since mom's are really protective of their babies. The little guy/girl was sure darn cute though! And as long as he is mature enough, I don't see why not.
