? about Disney Campground

I've never camped there but I've noticed that there are a bunch of folks here that have. They have a forum just for camping at WDW. Just use the "Forum Jump" drop down menu towards the bottom of this page and you'll see it. Camping at Walt Disney World. Have fun!

I stayed there 13 years ago, in a camper trailer. It's really not like a campground. More like a manicured park, with people living in it. :)

Very, very nice. If you stay, rent a golf cart. It's a little pricey, but a lot of fun and makes getting around the resort a LOT easier.

I have not stayed there personally but I know someone who does not have kids and does not like kids and they go there every year for a week because they love it so much. Even their best friends are shocked that they love it so much because they are grumpy kind of people. So I would have to stay it must be a great place. I don't think it is like any other "campground" you will ever stay at.

We have stayed there twice. Once in one of their "homes" and another we stayed in our motorhome. We LOVED it!!! When we stayed with our MH we requested a preferred section down close to Pioneer Hall and the lake. It's just as clean as they keep the parks.

WE'VE STAYED THERE OVER 20 TIMES:cool1: , SOME TIMES IN THE MOTOR HOME, SOME TIMES IN THE CABIN, THE KIDS LOVE THE EXPERIENCE:banana:

We stayed there for 10 days last June. It will set the bar very high for all other campgrounds for you in the future. There is a lot to do. It's very clean, as you would expect. It's enjoyable to walk around but they do also have their own internal bus system that works quite well. The people are the friendliest, as you would also expect. And the most amazing thing there is that there are NO bugs! They spray every morning and it keeps them at bay. I never expected that at a campground that lives up to it's name, Fort Wilderness. Go and enjoy, you'll love it.

i wish i knw a place to rent a pop-up trailer...i would love to do "fake camping" with my girl friend...

i just want to make smores and show her all my scouting skills...lol...:rotfl:

i love the donald duck scouts in animal kingdom...

Has anyone stayed in the campground? If so, what do you think:confused3

I've stayed there, and I love to go and eat and walk there. I just am putting up walk photos (not finished yet, only part one is done) at my site below. The wagon ride is fun, the campfire program is as well - it's just a really great place to go.

Just came back from 3days in the cabins and as usual loved it! Too cool for using the pool, but it was great to have the separate rooms. Seemed to much bigger. DGD loved the bunk beds and TV in the BR, although it didn't get used much! Bus service is excellent! 10 min wait at best to go anywhere. And it is so QUIET at night! Super spot.

I absolutely love Ft. Wilderness Campground! I basically grew up at Ft. Wilderness. hehe That's the only way we could afford our trips to Disney for many, many years as I grew up and then when I was a single parent. It's very safe and the comfort stations very clean. One thing you'll notice with campers is that everyone is very friendly and helpful. Here's a great website with loads of information as well as maps of Ft. Wilderness: http://home.hiwaay.net/~jlspence/faq_fw.htm
