I have never done the dining plan and have a question. Does each person in your party get a dining card? Also say some of your party does not prefer sitdown dinners, can the other parties use theirs? For instance two teenagers would prefer to go on rides and two adults would prefer to sit down dinners. Can the two adults use the teenagers sit down and the teenagers use the adults counter service credits?

We did the DDP in 2005, hopefully this didn't change... when we went all of our CS, TS and snacks were all pooled together. When we ate anyone of the adults in our group could use their card (same card we used to get into the park) to "pay" for the meal. It was like debit card. The meal was deducted from the pooled total. So our group could split up and eat in different places with no problem but once all the meals were used up that was it.

The rules are that adults use adult credits and children use child credits -- beyond that any members of your party can use any number of credits of whatever sort. If you're just adults and teens, then you'll have no problem doing as you suggest.

The teenagers and the parents will all be considered adults as far as Disney is concerned. One person could use every snack, CS, and TS credit from the entire family if they so choose....boy would that person weight down the boats on the water rides.:rotfl2:
