? about Dining plan for DVC

I called Ms today to add the dining plan to our upcoming trip. At the end of the conversation, the cm says don't forget to make your ADR's soon. I said that I already had. She asked for the confirmation numbers to switch them to dining plan adr's. Well, when I gave her the first number, she couldn't find it, then I remembered I did them through WDW Dine. So, she tells me I have to call WDW Dine and tell them to switch my adr's to the dining plan. When I called WDW Dine they said no, just tell the server at each restaurant before we order. So who was right? I am confused.

There's no reason to link them. The reservations aren't tied to a dining plan once their made.

I had the same thing happen... the DVC person wanted to make sure we tagged every ADR. I asked why and she could not give a good reason.

When we got there (last week) not one single server knew we were on the plan until we told them or they looked at our card.

No reason at all to tell them for the ADR.

There really isn't a reason the way things are set up other than to allow them to inform you of rules that might apply such as those options that require 2 tickets or restaurants that aren't on the plan. And maybe if one changes in status to allow them to run down those that might be affected like they do when a restaurant closes temp with pending reservations.

I don't know why but we have always been asked if we are "on any plan that includes dining" when we make dining reservations. This has been true for many years long before the current DDP.

One of my theories is that since tip has always been automatic on the plans that have included dining the system might indicate it so the servers get an equal shot at a decent tip.

But in your case Debbie since WDW Dining doesn't care, I would not worry about it at all.

we made our plans through wdw dine and then just told our server, it is how the bill is charged not the ressie good luck

we were going to buy the ddp for our up coming trip and while i was trying to make our adr (everything booked) the cm asked me if i was on the ddp and i told her that i was thinking of purchasing the ddp and had made a very few adr already. the cm told me i had to call dining once i purchased the ddp and add it to each one of my adrs. the reason i have not purchased the ddp because i cant get any adrs at places i really want to eat at or im eating at 9 pm anyone know how much a 1day 1 park no expiration ticket is

Don't forget you can add the DDP to just the DVC part of your stay and not have to purchase any tickets. One day one park ticket is $63 according to WDW site if you were serious about your question - or is it tongue in cheek type?
