I am shopping for a digital camera and there is so many its got me so confused on which one to purchase. My dd boyfriend has a Sony 5.1 and he really likes it. Doesn't seem to hard to use. My question is, Does anyone have the Sony 7.2 mp and if you do how do you like it? I'm leaning towards this one because it is somewhat smaller than the 5.1. Any imput you have on the digital cameras I would appreciate. I want one that is easy to use and small enough to carry in a fanny pack. :confused3

I have a Minolta Dimage Z10. I dont use it for vacation, use ot only for Ebay, but its 100% perfect for Ebay. You can get a closeups of the legs on a flea sitting on the head of a dime with this baby. I absolutely LOVE it!

I'm still old-school though for vacation. I prefer a 35mm NON-digital for vacation. I have seen home PC printed pictures that faded over the years. Besides, 35mms are VERY cheap now. I just bought a top of the line Minolta 35mm at a yardsale to sell on Ebay and discovered before listing it that no 35mm cameras are moving at all there. They are dead in the water. Everyone wants digital, and most dont really know why. They just get them because everyone else is. When my Hyundai 35mm died before my last Disney trip I got a very nice non-digital one to replace it. Had the opportunity to go digital, but after weighing out my reasons, decided manual was still best.
Just my opinion. Others will differ I'm sure.

Costco had a VERY sweet little camera there when I bought my Dimage. It was quite a deal. Had an awesome zoom and was very small and lightweight. It wasnt a brand I had heard of before. Might check there. They have great prices for watches and cameras.

7.2 megapixel is probably overkill, and will suck up a lot of memory card. I have a tiny, credit card sized Sony 5.1 megapixel which travels well and housed in a sturdy steel frame. Quite solid for the size, and has a huge screen for viewing.

What is the model number of the 5.1 that you have. I would like to look at that one.

I just bought a new Nikon Coolpix 4600 of Ebay and LOVE IT!!!! It came with all the goodies that come in the box, 3 year warranty {1 year that comes with the camera and then an extended 2 year also with a carrying case.}
DH was so surprised by how small it was. LOL!!!

Can't wait to use it on our trip back to Disney.

Good Luck!!!

I have the 7.2 mp Sony DSC P150 which is the exact same thing as the P200 but the screen is a little smaller. I love it. I takes great photos AND great video. I've had a hard time finding one that is good at both.

If filling the memory card is a concern, you can change the setting and have it take pics at the 5.1mp setting and only use the 7.2 for important shots that you might want to make into large prints.

If you don't think you'll use more than 5mp I wouldn't pay extra for the 7.2 but if it's the same price (which in my case it was because they clearanced out the P150 when they got the P200) I'd say go for it.

The size on this camera is great by the way, very slim and EASILY fits into a pocket but still has an optical zoom.

Just wanted to tell everyone that I just bought a Ls753 Kodak 5mp digital camera. Now I just have to learn how to use it. I went with the Kodak because from what I have read their the easiest to use. I've been reading the book and am planning on taking some pictures this week. The camera is small and will fit in my fanny pack easily. We leave for Disney June 1st. Hopefullly by that time I will be able to take some good pictures.
