? about Dancing With The Stars

Ok..I'll admit it I watch way too much reality tv. But I missed last weeks episode of Dancing With The Stars. What did Tatum O'Neal do to get voted off? Did she fall down or something? I thought for sure Master P would be the one voted off. He must have improved alot from the first week.

Master P was horrible. Even though he did try a little this time, he still should have been voted off. Don't know why he is still there, probably because his partner Ashley is a sweetheart. Tatum really didn't do anything wrong, just wasn't as good as the others last week. She, I think was second from the bottom with the judges.

She wasn't terrible, Master P was absolutely atrocious . An improvement from week one but extremely bad. I'm not sure who is voting for him because he should have been gone week one. Bring back Kenny Mayne!!

She didn't fall or anything. I thought for sure Master P would of gone home last week - I would of given Tatum one more week.

Master P was terrible. I am wondering if people keep voting for him just to see how far he can get. Tatem was not good, but her had a 17 and Master P a 13 from judges. So he need help from the viewers.

...and so you have discovered my biggest problem with this show. It is inherently unfair. With the home votes counting for so much, this is a popularity contest, not a true determination of skill. If you watched the first season, Kelly Monaco was good, but not as good as John O'Hurley. Kelly is a soap opera star (General Hospital) while John was an actor on the cancelled Seinfeld. Kelly is young/John is not. Who is really going to take the time to vote (and vote often)? The younger (than me - 39) viewer. I cared about the outcome, but not enough to call - and CERTAINLY not enough to call multiple times.

That said, I still enjoy watching the dancing - I just don't count on the winner actually being the best dancer of the group.

My DH and I were thinking people didn't vote for Tatum because of how strange she acted afterwards - it was almost like she was on something...or really embarrassed and acting weird because of it.

I actually thought Tatum was good last week. Apparantly, I'm the only one. I was shocked that she only got about 3 more points than P.

Tatum got voted off not because of her dancing, but because people don't like her.

I made DH watch it and we thought the same thing. I actually think that Master P "tries" but just plain stinks. I think that's why he gets votes.

I have to say, I love watching George Hamilton. He makes me laugh. He just looks like he is having fun.

Can the vote be swung that much when we each get only 9 calls? It at least can't be as damaging as American Idol's call until your fingers fall off style.
