I am wondering if my son would enjoy the pirate adventure that is offered at the resorts. I know the age limit is up to ten, my son's age. But I am wondering if he might think its too "babyish"? Has anyone else's ten year old gone and had a good time? Thanks!

My daughter was 8 when she went on it. She did feel it was a little too babyish(sp?). What we are going to try this year (Albatross Cruise). This seems a little more adventurous. They ride in the lake near the Boardwalk and Yacht/Beach resorts. Then they get to find treasures in EPCOT's World Showcase.

I explained that all to her - and since she loves World Showcase, she is excited to go.

Good Luck with you decision.

Here's a funny story. Last summer my three kids were going on the Pirates Cruise and there was a boy there, about 10, who was signed up to go but really didn't want to. He was making a fuss with his mom, who made him go and said "you'll have a wonderful time". Well I really felt sorry for her when the boat pulled out, he was snarling at her, refusing to wear the pirate hat and scowling, almost in tear. Well when they returned he had a huge smile on and was singing Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirates Life for Me really loud with the rest of the kids. You could tell he did have a great time. I think some of the older kids might feel its going to be babyish but they end up having a ball.
