? about Carry-On Luggage

Hope someone can help me out!
Does anyone know the dimensions for carry-on luggage?
Oh, and to make things even more difficult, I'm flying on American there and on Delta back home!
Hopefully the size will be similiar for both airlines.

If you check the airlines web sites, they will have a section on carry on sizes. They vary a little.

Check out Lani Teshima's site Travelite.com. I think she says that carryons are a factor of 7 --- 7 X 14 X 21.
