What happens during the candlelight processional at EPCOT? We have not booked this for our trip (12/10-12/20), but do currently have reservations at several EPCOT restaurants that offer it and are on the DDP. What do I need to do to turn the reservation into a candlelight dining package/ or can I even do that?

Thanks!

For a CPP dinner reservation, you'll have to call or go online to specifically reserve. You cannot (or couldn't in the past) convert a regular reservation to CPP. If you're traveling in 2012, you'd better hurry! Your narrator choices are Jodi Benson, Lea Salonga and Alfre Woodard -- all fairly famous.

The CPP is a religious holiday music program performed with an ensemble choir of CMs and local/regional choirs, backing up a celebrity narrator who will read passages from the biblical account of the Nativity. It runs about 45 minutes and showcases great music, stirring passages, and a chance to see a celebrity in person.

Your CPP package (can be applied to your DDP TS credit balance) includes a three-course meal, early admission to the CP seating area, and roped off viewing of Illuminations! from the FW end of the lagoon. We loved it!

Thanks so much for the good info! We have spent close to 100 days in the WDW in the past 10 years, but never at this time of year. So, we have seen Illuminations many times, and once with priority viewing from the roped off area at International Gateway. But I was really interested in the logistics of the dining and processional package, and you described it perfectly. I had looked to see who the narrators were and hope maybe we can see Jodi Benson or Lea Solonga... now both Disney Legends ... and my daughter grew up to their music.

I know I have really waited a little late to think about this, which is very unusual for me. We have gone at the same time every year, and I sort of have a routine. I have become so accustomed to planning so far in advance for our hotel, park days, and all our ADRs. But didn't really think about the processional until now. I will not be crushed if we can't get a package, but it would be great if we can.

Thanks again!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

If I didn't already have a CPP ressie I would now - you sold it well, I can't wait! Great info :)

Question about Illuminations...I have the Candlelight Processional booked in December. Do we just stay where we are after the Processional is over to view Illuminations?

You're welcome -- note that I corrected the TS credits charged -- it depends on the restaurant where you get your CPP meal. It could be one, it could be two...

I don't think that's true. If you use the dining plan for the package, it's 2 no matter where. You get the package terms, which means an appetizer and the Illuminations viewing.

Well, I originally thought it was two, but I went to the current Disney site and it appears to leave it open (with the "Varies" cost listed). I thought they might have changed it to match the restaurants' TS category.

Thanks for confirming my first impulse.
