Question for the US/IOA experts. My son (5) is CRAZY about Jurassic Park and I am thinking about cutting the Disney portion of our trip short to include 2 nights at US. My questions are:

1) Will he enjoy the Jurassic park section if he is too short to ride the river adventure?
2) Which is better in terms of accommodations – APH rate at Portofino ($269/night) or regular rate at Royal Pacific ($239/night)? I have the Loews First card (Blue).
3) What is the “kids welcome” I saw on the Loews website?

Thanks so much.

1. He will enjoy the playground exiting Pteranadon flyers. My kids could spend the day there at that age.
2. APH Portofino would be my choice.
3. Loew's has offered a number of kid friendly promos. Kids are welcome at all of their resorts.

My 2 DS love this area! They can kill a few hours running around the large play area, exploring the caves, climping the rope bridges, and squirting each other with dinos. Be sure to check out the dino exploration center (beneath the gift shop/restaurant). They have machines where you can test dino eggs to see which kind of dino they will hatch into. You can morph your genetic material with a dino to see what you would come up with. You can learn a ton of stuff about dinos. And, if your lucky enough, you might even see a real hatching dino;)
