??? about buying from Disney (BLT).. need to know by tomorrow! Yikes!

I've been keeping an eye on 3 of the resale places since the end of August. The cheapest I've seen for BLT since then is $95 per point.

Last I checked, on all 3 websites, there was only 1 BLT contract available.

Yes.... same here.. I inquired about the one I posted on here (on a another thread in the DVC section; they were asking around 15,xxx same points) but it was in the process of closing.:sad1:

I would say the good thing about going through Disney is the fact that you are able to take out a 10 year mortgage with very little effort. I was able to buy mine 10 years ago when I was only 23 years old and I was unemployed at the time (although I was due to start a job once my trip was over). Surprisingly I got approved and thus began the beginning of a beautiful relationship! Because you can spread the payments out, it made it very affordable (granted I bought when the points were almost half the price they are now) and I was able to pay extra when I could and ended up paying it off 2 years early. With a re-sale you are on your own to find your own financing which in these days may be a bit difficult or you need to have the cash upfront (kuddos to those that do :)). One thing that I didn't take into consideration when i first bought was the price of the dues every month. I was just concerned with the price of the timeshare when I should have payed more attention to the price of the dues since that is something that will be with you year after year and also goes up every year. I have Vero Beach as my home base because it had the best deal going and because it's beach front property the highest dues. I wish now that I had gone with the other property (I think SSR) as the dues are much lower there and would have worked out better in the long run. Oh well, you live you learn. Am I sorry that I bought it, heck no!
