? about bus transportation

I know I read somewhere that there is a bus #50 that will drive from WDW to SW. Is there a hotel right near SW that the bus will go to? I am trying to decide when we need to rent a car to get down to St. Pete. I want to hold off on that as long as possible. But I need transportation to a hotel, SW and then the car rental place. I've never been down there before needing transportation so I'm lost right now. Anyone help? Thanks!
