Okay, I have a question...If I were to book a room only at a resort and wait to buy our tickets later, would that be a problem? For example, would I still be able to do character dining? And would I still be able to do the photopass since I'm not actually buying a package? I know it sounds crazy, but since our arrival date is less than 45 days from now, we would have to pay for the whole thing up front if we book it as a package, and we can't swing that RIGHT now, so I wanted to see if there would be any downfalls to booking the room and buying the tickets seperately. We are really on a tight budget, thus being the reason for only being able to go for such a short time. This will be our first ever trip to WDW, so I'm pretty Disney-illiterate at this point, so any advice/info is very much appreciated!

Other than the fact that I thought packages save you some money (depending on what you need to include) you have nothing to worry about. My last trip I had park passes that were bought separately and the CR reservation was room only. We used photopass. And the ADRs have nothing to do with your package. YOu just make your reservations. If you want the dining plan though, I think you have to book a package.
