?? about booking ADR through MS vs DD

If we call the Disney Dining number to book our ADRs, can we use the check-in date +10 rule? I didn't know if DD had the ability to verify our reservations or not...or do we have to go through MS in order to do it that way?

You can call WDW-DINE. I make all my dining reservations through them because they are open later than MS. I don't recall whether they asked me for my reservation number or not but I've never had a problem making my ADRs.
