This boat stops at Swan, Boardwalk and Yacht and Beach club right? I am trying to figure out the best way to get to Boardwalk and Y& B to see their Christmas decorations.

Thanks for your help!!

(We really need a santa smilie!)

Yup, that boat does make those stops. Personally, I'd walk instead, with the exception, perhaps, of the leg between the Swolphin and D-MGM.

Between the hotels, themselves? Definitely. The walk from the Yacht Club to the Dolphin is just a few feet more than the walk from the Yacht Club to the boat dock! Even the walk from D-MGM to the BoardWalk is short enough that if you just miss the boat at D-MGM you'll almost surely beat the next boat, no matter how slow you walk.

YC/BC are about a 6 minute walk to BW, 5 mins to S/D. They really are very close to each other. If you're going to be at Epcot, just walk through the Intnl Gateway. You can then make the circle around the lake, stopping at the different resorts. I think it took us about 25 minutes to make the loop when we did it, but we were just ambling along and not stopping off at any of the resorts.

The Yacht and Beach Club share a dock stop so you will have to walk anyway. From the far end (towards Epcot) it is almost the same distance to the Boardwalk as it is to the boat stop. We love to walk the circle and try to do it each year.

Is it possible to walk or ride a boat from MGM to the Boardwalk area. We have 8:30 pm ADR's for Flying Fish after we are done with the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. After that we have to get back to the VWL. Think you could still catch a bus back to the TTC and then to VWL or would you call a cab? :confused3

Yes. You can make the trip either way.

Easy walk or boat ride from MGM to the Boardwalk. It's a bit of a hike, so if you're tired, you may want to wait for the boat. On the other hand, if you're running late and the boat isn't in sight, walking would probably be faster.

After eating, you could bus to DTD and then catch the WL bus back. That one will certainly be running still, even if you have a very long dinner. I might just opt for the cab though. That's a lot of running around at the end of the day for me. HTH--enjoy!

See, I learn something new every trip! Thanks guys this really helps with the planning!

How long is the boat ride from MGM to EPCOT? We are going to MGM on Friday - was thinking after Fantasmic, taking the boat to EPCOT, maybe catch Illuminations and then taking the monorail back to Poly. Is that doable? This board is the best! How did anyone ever plan a trip to WDW without it?!! Thanks all!

It's sounds doable. The boat takes about 25 minutes it makes the three stops that I mentioned in my OP. It's a very relaxing ride.

Have a great trip!

The only problem with taking the boat after Fantasmic is that is will likely be jammed and there will be long lines. I would just walk to the boardwalk area. The walkway continues with the water on your left. It's maybe 15-20 minutes depending on how fast (or slowly) you walk.
Anyone staying late at the boardwalk area can easily catch a taxi back to their resort if they don't want to take a bus to DTD and switch to their resort bus...which can be very time consuming. Just walk through the lobby of any of the Epcot resorts (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan or Dolphin) and go out the main entrance. Taxis are normally waiting, but if one is not available a Cast Member will get one for you right away.
