? About Biergarten At Epcot

How is the food? Is it worth the price? What time is the entertainment? My DH is from Germany and I would like DS and DD to get a little bit of German culture.

The Biergarten is always one of my favorites. I spent a year in germany on a student exchange so it is like " going home" for me. The waiters are all German so it is nice to use my german ( or try to). The food is good, hearty, and plentiful. There is better food to be had but the overall experience is great IMHO.

the whole family including my mother in law.......and two of our grandkids......8 of us......we went there......they were thrilled with the entertainment and the food was delicious.....my favorite is the apple struedal and the vanilla cream sauce.....oh my ...it is delicious....my husband starts his meal off with cheesecake then .....he eats the rest.....it is a very nice meal and well worth it......ages of all that went were four in their late twenties.....two kids.....10 and 12.....two in the 50s and one over 85....all enjoyed it.......hope this helps

My DH really really wants to go to the Biergarten on our next trip. I have been draging my feet about it because seems like a place I won't find anything I want to eat. I don't like sausage or cabage or most meats. I like most fish and most veggies. Will I have a good time or will this be something I do to show my love for my DH?

My mom is from Germany and we LOVE to eat there. It is such a wonderful atmosphere and the food is quite good. I don't like sausages, cabbage, etc. and I enjoy their food. They have chicken, pork, potatoes, salads. It is wonderful. And the price is very reasonable. Another plus when traveling with children is the fact that you can eat right away and there is a lot of action and music. We are going there in two weeks!

If my husband could move into this restaurant he would. He absolutly loves the food! I was skeptical because I come from an Italian family who only cooked Italian and thought there would be nothing here for me. I was so wrong!! I loved everthing. I didn't try the sausages but the chicken was great, the salads were wonderful and the dessert was excellent! My husband liked the waitresses, of course they were all pretty and blond. Our last name is German, since my husband is, and they told us what it meant, of course we knew but let them tell us anyway. The price is well worth the food and honeslty I thought it wasn't that bad compared to some of the prices of other buffets. Definetly give it a try!

You will LOVE it!!
We made the mistake the first time we went in explaining what each dish was to our DD and DS and they didn't want to try much. Then we got smart and said, just take some and try it (we didn't say a word.)
Boy--what a difference !! The meats and potato dishes will satisfy even the pickiest eaters; and for the more adventurous, there are dishes for us too.
I had the wine sampling with my meal and DH gets the LARGE Beck's beer.
The entertainment is continuous throughout the day/evening and lasts 20-30 minutes. You can confirm those specifics with the hostess as you walk by.
Reservations are best. My MIL and FIL went two weeks ago and couldn't get in.

If you want to save money, book at the end of lunch hours. They add extra entree choices for dinner, but you're billed by when you're seated.

My fam. of 4 ate there in 2000. DS and DD were 10 and 2 at the time. They both loved the food (as did I). DH likes it but says it isn't "real" German (as in from the region he was stationed in). He likes it, but really wants to find something more from the SE region (more pork, cream etc). We returned in 2002 with my extended family. Everyone enjoyed the food and show. DS who is now 13 list it as one of his favorite restaurants anywhere.
