? about being a CM's guest onboard

Has anyone ever been signed onto the boat as a CM's guest??? I'm not sure if all CM's can do this but evidently the upper level CM's can. If anyone has done this, did you have any documents or is just like at the parks where you show and and they sign you in. If this is the case, is there any guarantee ahead of time that you will really get on the ship??????




We have the opportunity for one member of our party to be "signed on" by a CM as their guest but this would mean that we would be cancelling that person's reservation--the whole purpose is to save some $$$. The whole idea makes me very nervous--I can just see us getting to the port and that member not being able to board. Anyone have any experience with this????

I'm bumping this up in hopes that someone out there has some experience with this situation. Any CM's out there willing to give some advice?????

Since no one has posted an answer, I would assume that no one is familiar with "CM guests" on DCL. If you have no way to confirm that this is a legitimate offer, I would stick with your original reservations. Better to pay and KNOW than to worry.

I don't have an answer to the question, but I am a cast member and I have booked two adjoining rooms for a future cruise. I was told that I could call 30 days prior and receive (an excellent) discount, if there are any rooms available. So that means giving up my two secret portal rooms (I have four children) for a possibility of less $$, but I'm afraid that means an unconfirmed reservation. At this time, I am not planning to change my reservations for the CHANCE of a great discount. I don't think anyone should, unless Disney can confirm the room assignment, which I don't think they do.
