Any ideas of best place to pick up Aps when we get to Orlando? We'd need to get them before checking into hotel......

Are you flying into MCO Mandy or SFB? You can pick them up at the Disney store at MCO.

no, unfortunately its Sanford so we'd have to get them from a park or DTD??

do you have an AP discount at your hotel?
is that the reason you want to buy them before you get to the hotel?
if that's the case, you don't really have to have them at that point.
If they ask you for your pass, you can say you're going to buy it as soon as you check in and that you'll show it to them as soon as you buy it...

i've never been asked for it in all our visits to WDW...
this year we bought them at guest services at DTD....
you can also buy them at any of the theme parks...
but i found DTD to be the easiest for us this year....no line at all....

if they ask you for it, just say that you're headed over to DTD (or MK, etc) to buy them and you'll show it to them when you buy them...
the resort check in people are extremely nice.....in my experience anyway...

it doesn't make sense that you would be able to buy the APs in advance when they're sold in so few places...everyone goes straight to their hotel from the airport...
