? about AP rates

When AP rates are issued, is it a standard % for rooms across the board...or are there different % discount for different resorts?

For example...say AP rate is issued for a range of dates from 3-9 to 8-9....would all resorts be (as an example) 40% off for the entire range of dates...or would the discount offered depend on the individual resort...and would there be different discounts depending on the date in that range?

Just trying to get my ducks in order!

No it is not a flat % off all resorts.
It will vary by resort.
There may be different % for value vs. moderates vs. deluxe.
They may also exclude certain resorts. Such as All Star Movies are not always included in discounts.
And there are also a very limited number of rooms available with these discounts at each resort, and once they are gone, that is it.
There will also be a difference when the season changes. The beginning of "value" season for deluxes is July 4th. But the moderates "value" season doesn't start til late August.

It is just a matter of waiting til the rates come out and see what happens.

I'm interested in the Deluxe resorts...what (in general) is the % off on those resorts? GF and AKL???

When are you going?
That does typically make a difference in the %.
But it can vary any where between 35% to 50% discount.

As for AKL...they had been running alot of special deals for AKL last year. With it being fairly new and it seems to get some bad reviews because of it's lack of extra amenities that other deluxes have. They were really giving some great deals.

But we stayed at AKL the first year it opened and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! But it does lack some things....such as not being close to any park (such as the monorail resorts or Epcot).
You might get lucky with such deals this year!! Keep your fingers crossed.

Going Aug 19 - 26...4 nites at GF and 3 at AKL. I have a 15% AAA discount right now...would love to see a 40% AP rate....but I have no idea what the discount is typically for that time of year.
