? about AP Discount

We have a regular package booked for Sept for the free dining, so we are making our first trip "home" in Feb.

We also plan to go back in the Fall of 2007, so we were going to get AP's. The current AP discount for DVC......is this something that should be around for awhile or should we buy those babies ASAP?? I was going to wait until Sept or Oct....I know they send a voucher and we will get 365 days from the day we activate in February.

I wanted to buy early because we are also going to get DDE and I wanted to make sure we had our vouchers in time to get that before the trip too.

Also, can I get my 3-yr old an AP with the DVC discount? Or just DH and myself (our DVC is deeded to both of us)?? I am assuming I can, but you know what they say about assuming.

I think it will be around for a while. It is a very popular perk. You can get an AP for members of your household, so there won't be a problem for your 3 year old.

Maybe you should plan your Fall 2007 trip so that you can buy your AP's before your Sept. 2006 trip. Getting three trips out of an AP is very good planning. Maybe you could go a little earlier next Fall. It could save you a lot of money. We are getting four trips from our current AP's.

All people in your imediate family living in your same household are eligible for the AP discount, so yes, your 3 year old qualifies. I would probably get the vouchers before the end of the year because price increases in admission media usually happens December-January. Order your DDE card about mid month the month BEFORE your expected date of AP activation. If you order after about the 15th, it will be dated the following month.

Thanks, I will get the DDE end of January...I have seen on here that even if the perm card does not arrive in time for our 2/5/07 trip that we can get a temp at Epcot.

I also was perusing here....and saw that we could actually go to guest relations in September and turn in the tix we bought with the package and use that towards our AP's. I think we can schedule our trips so all 3 fall within the 365 days. If I wait til Feb to get the APs, we will only get 2 trips for sure, because I know we are looking at 2/07, 9/07, and then probably May of 08. Getting them when we go in a few months will definitely get us a 3rd stay.
