?? about an upgrade to a Premier pass

Can someone help me out please! We have DL AP's that expire in June. DH and I have an anniversary trip planned for September to WDW. My thought was to upgrade our Premium DL AP's to Premier Passes just before we go in September.

Am I correct in assuming that our Premier passes will expire in June regardless of the upgrade date?

And will the cost we pay for the upgrade be less since we will have lost out on 3 1/2 months of Premier Pass? Or is it the full price regardless of the upgrade date?

Full price regardless of the upgrade date (full price being the difference between the PP cost and your DL AP)

But I guess buying the Premium AP allows me to put at least that much on a payment plan. Just have to pay for the upgrade cost up front.
