The bid calendar has received a LOT of hits over the weekend, and I've been updating like crazy. Lots of great feedback - I'm glad so many people are finding it useful.

Anyway, just wanted to make a quick request - those of you who have stayed in any of the hotels that are coming up, if you get a free minute I'd appreciate a quick review. . . especially the non-Disney hotels. I linked the TripAdvisor pages for the hotels, but thought some reviews from Disney-ites might be more useful to people checking it out and trying to decide if the risk is worth it.

I'll give you full credit for your review (real name, user id from here, anonymous. . . however you are comfortable) If you happen to have any pics, those would be appreciated as well!

Also, if you have any more information that you'd like to add, just let me know. Or if you have any suggestions to make it more user friendly, either post here, PM me, or email me at disneybratster@gmail.com

Thanks guys!

Carrie

It would be more work for you, certainly, but it might be helpful to have the dates after the hotels' names, so people would know how recently those rates are gotten? In another thread, someone just got AmeriSuites for June 3rd tonight, even though a lot of us (myself included) have an All Star booking for June 3rd. But most of us booked it last week.

In looking at the calendar, one might think with so many All Star bookings on that date, there's a good chance - but I'm betting they're out of All Star rooms for June 3rd now, if that makes sense.

You wouldn't have to go back and date -all- the hotels, but the new additions might be easier to keep up with. Just trying to help! :)

Great idea! Thanks! I've gone through the posts and added dates next to the winning bid so hopefully we can track when certain resorts get sold out from the Priceline inventory. I'll look up the rest of the dates later, but you're right. . . there definitely *appears* to be a pattern for that date hinting at it being sold out from the PL inventory.

People bidding on PL should make sure the Allstars aren't sold out before they bid. I'm not sure if Expedia is the best way of checking, the Disney website or calling CRO.

Other hotels might be adjusting their PL rates. If I had a 2.5* hotel in the Disney zone I'd make sure one of my rates was $36 so I'd get my share of bidders.

I fly down, renting a car and paying for Disney parking would wipe out most of my savings if I got an acceptable offsite hotel and walking away from an unacceptable hotel would be disastrous.

edited to add there are other 2 1/2 hotels in this zone. Although they haven't come up recently at the $36 price that could change. There are 2 Courtyard by Marriotts, they charge a resort fee that's extra and I believe they also charge for bus transportation to WDW. I believe the PL fee is also charged when you add days. Winning bids appear to be paying a PL fee of around $7-$8 so if you win one night and extend it one night you're really paying around $43 /night.
