We're getting far more overnight guests than we can handle for the holidays. Was wondering how an Aero bed might be. Have read about them online and they "sound" great. Anyone have one (or slept on one) that can give me the facts about the comfort and ease of getting it set up?

I've had mine for years. They're well worth the cost!

I wouldn't want to sleep on one for 10 years, but for a few nights' visit it's fine.

I'm pleasantly surprised by these answers! DH wants to know how long it takes (approximately) to set one up.

My queen size one sets up in less than a minute. Plug it in, press the button, and it fills itself in no time. It takes even less time to deflate. I loaned mine to a friend for Thanksgiving and she was amazed!

Thanks everybody....we're getting one. :teeth:

Everytime we visit my parents at the Cape, we need to bring ours because that's what we need to sleep on.

Same when we visit BIL in NH.

My SIL has it right now, because she needed it for Thanksgiving guests.

We'll need it back for Christmas guests.

SIL used it for a few weeks when she first moved into her apartment. She didn't have a bed right away.

Ours must be close to 10 yrs old. Never had a problem with it. It gets LOTS of use by everyone.

Set up & take down are a breeze. I have a bad back & it's comfortable enough for me.

I've got an Eddie Bauer twin air mattress that I slept on while my mom was visiting me, and it was pretty comfortable.

THEN I borrowed my friend's queen Aero Bed when DBF and I were visiting some friends... and it was AMAZING. I've asked for one for Christmas and mom bought one at Target on BF for $140. We weren't sure how good of a deal this was and were going to look around further, but I'll be getting one under the tree this year! :goodvibes

No doubt everyone is waiting to see my reply to THAT question, so you know what I'm gonna do.....answer you in a PM!!!

I love our Aero bed, it's been fine and is quick to set up take down. I think the Aerobed brand, with an attached pump is a must. We had a Coleman air matterss that we called the deflate-a-bed instead of inflatable bed.

I just got another full size Classic AeroBed at Kohls for around $90.

I know my mom's nearly 60 year old friend sleeps on one of the raised deluxe ones every night so they can't be that bad.

I've slept on one for 2 years now(see thread about snoring husbands) and it is GREAT!

I'm so happy to see even more great replies come in about the Aero bed because it looks like I'm going to need 2 instead of just 1. Got to have a nice comfy place for my good friend PopDaddy!!!! ::yes::
