If we buy through Disney do we have to add on to our contract? Can we have two separate? If I request a different use year can they be separate contracts?

no, you don't have to add-on (not sure if i understand what you mean here, though). and you can always choose between buying direct (more expensive but faster) and buying resale (cheaper but takes longer) - whether buying your first contract or adding on.

when you "add-on" (either direct or resale), it remains a separate contract. if it is for the same resort, you can combine the points from both contracts seamlessly while using them - they will be maintained by DVC under one membership number as xxxxx.01 and xxxxx.02 - then if you want to sell or will the contracts to different people, they can still be disposed of separately.

if you want a different UY, then you would have to either buy resale or buy a new contract from DVC (at the 160 pt minimum or whatever the minimum is when you buy.) different UYs can be beneficial if you are organized and want different banking windows...but having two UYs is more trouble than most members want to deal with.

why do you want 2 different UYs?
