This will be a first time for some friends going on a cruise. I know I would have made my first cruise the Disney Cruise!! But that is just me. Anyway, I know this is not a Disney cruise, but I am hoping someone can help. Has anyone been on the Royal Caribbean to the Bahamas? If so, would you mind helping me out? What kind of clothing do you need to bring for a 4 night cruise? What kind of tipping is required? They sent me looking for information to help them out, I thought the Disboard members helped me out on so much for my first Disney trip and everything else under the sun, so maybe someone had the answers for this too. Thanks in advance, and any other information you have would be very helpful.

For me I brought the same thing for a 4 night Disney cruise that I had on my RCCL cruise. The only thing I can think of that might be seen different is the formal night. On Disney it seemed more of a semi-formal, while on RCCL is was more of a formal event.

Tipping is your own thing. Some like to pre-pay, some don't. I like to be in contol of my tipping. So use their own judgement.

This is my standard break down per person in the cabin.

Cabin Steward 3.00 a day
Head Waiter 3.50 a day
Asst. Waiter 2.50 a day
Materi D (sp) 2.00 a day. I fill if the only thing he is going to do is stand at the door and say hello then that is the most he should get. Now if he takes part and interacts with us. That is a different story.
