I really want to experience the atmosphere of 50s PT, but am not too keen on the menu/prices for the main entrees.

Is it possible to just go in and get some shakes and smores? Is that worth a PS or will a walk-in work (trip is early Feb)?

Thanks!

It would be worth it, in my opinion. :)

My 12 year old son declared the 50's PT vanilla malt to be the best in the world, and he is an authority!

I don't know about the ps question, as we were there in June, rather than February.

We thought the menus prices were higher than what we wanted to spend for a meal and thought about just ordering a cup of soup and a milkshake or dessert to split. We want to experience the fun, but are on a budget. Debby

Definetly worth it. I love their smores and shakes. Probably can get in as a walk in in Feburary depending on when you are going. Have fun :)

I really don't understand all the complaints on the prices. They are no higher than the other onsite sitdown restaurants, in fact they are some of the least expensive.

Anyway the servings are huge, You could split a meal and a dessert, then you wouldn't have to worry about trying to eat somewhere else too.

That is just it.. it is just my DD (2 1/1yo) and myself. The portions and price are too much for the 2 of us. We won't eat enough, and we do travel on a budget, but I do look forward to going in for a 'snack'. Luckily, with my DD that will fill her up quiet nicely. She eats like a bird these days.

This is a Disney restaurant and you can order whatever you like !!

It would be perfectly appropriate for you to order a dessert / snack...whatever you find on the menu that strikes your fancy / budget.

Just a caveat however.....sometimes February can be a little on the chilly side...and your dd may want a small cup of soup or some fries...(something warm for her tummy)...

You should be fine on a "walk-in" basis....UNLESS...you are going during President's Week....(a VERY busy time at WDW).

Enjoy .... PTC is one of our favorite restaurants :bounce:
