We took the SSR tour last week during our OKW stay. We really liked it. I booked a few nights there in December to try it out. I asked the guide last week if all the 2nd. bedrooms had two beds. He said some only had the one bed plus the sofa sleeper. I called MS today because I forgot to request the two beds. She put me on hold for 10 minutes (she did check back in and assure me she was still looking for the info). MS insists all 2 bedrooms at SSR have the 2 queen beds. That wasn't what the guide told us. Can anyone verify either story? Thanks.

All dedicated 2 BR units have the 2 beds. All lockouts have the pullout full size.

Thanks, Dean. That makes me feel better. I wonder why the guides aren't more informed sometimes? We stood there and had a conversation about this with him. He said he thought it was stupid that they put the sofa sleepers in some of the dedicated units. Oh well! As long as we have the 2 queen beds, I'll be happy.

I thought my guide said that there were not dedicated two bedrooms. That the two bedrooms were a 1 bedroom and a studio combined.

I could be wrong though but thats what I remember.

Just to clarify, the information you related from your Guide in your first post is correct--some 2Bs have two queen beds and some do not. In this post you introduced the element of "sofa sleepers in some of the dedicated units", and that obviously is incorrect. Either way, I agree, the Guide should know the exact configuration.

Each building at SSR has the following:

- 20 Dedicated Two Bedroom units, all with two queen beds in the second bedroom.
- 24 Lockoff Two Bedroom units (which can also be booked separately as a 1B + Studio). Each second bedroom / studio room in these units have the Queen bed plus sleeper sofa arrangement.
- 2 Grand Villas

Sounds like the most incorrect info you got was from Member Services who insisted that all 2Bs have two beds. That is incorrect.

At the time of the reservation you are assigned to either a Dedicated or Lockoff 2B. This designation may not appear on your printed confirmation, but the type of room into which you are booked should be guaranteed at check-in. I'd suggest calling Member Services to confirm whether you are booked in a Dedicated or Lockoff unit.

The other issue is that this answer only applies to SSR and VWL. At BCV, about 2/3 of the dedicated also has pullouts. BWV does not have dedicated 2 BR units so all 2 BR have pull out's there. OKW only has 2 queens in the second.

We were in a dedicated 2 BR at SSR this past August. There are 2 queen beds in the second bedroom.

As Dean said: "BWV does not have dedicated 2 BR units so all 2 BR have pull out's there."

I am definitely booked in a dedicated. I specifically said to the guide "you just mean the lock-off rooms have the queen and sleeper sofa?" And he responded with "NO, there are some dedicated units that have that as well and I think that is stupid." He then went on to tell me how they did the same thing with BCV and then they had to go and change things around. BCV is the one place we haven't stayed so I didn't have any knowledge of that. However, I know I read posts about them making some changes but I don't remember the details since we weren't staying there. I also asked the guide if I needed to specify when making a reservation that I wanted a dedicated with the two queens. He said he wasn't sure. He said I could probably "request" it. I misquoted the person from MS. She did not say all 2 bedrooms at SSR had the two queens. She was referring to the dedicated two bedrooms. So, it still looks like the guide gave me the wrong info and MS gave the correct info.

We've never stayed in a 2BR (but will be making ressies shortly for next year's F&W Festival), so I'd like to be enlightened before calling MS. I know that you can request a dedicated 2BR when making ressies, but can you request a lock-off instead? If so, are you charged extra points (as if you'd booked a studio and a 1BR separately)? Thx.
