You need to have made at least 10 posts and then wait about 24 hours after your last post to be able to use the messaging system.

You've made 4 posts, but only 3 of them count. Any posts on the DVC board don't count.

Click on your username in any post that you've made. It will give you your post count.

Actually, you only need to hover over your avatar to the left of your post to see how many posts (messages) you've made. But, usually that's a total number, regardless of where you posted. If you want an accurate count (minus DVC posts) you click on the number of messages and count them (what board you posted on is there).

No. Alfiesmom has made 5 posts if you count the one made on the rent/trade board but the post count shows 4.

I saw that. But it usually doesn't work that way. Unless they've done an upgrade that now can handle that.
