A&F kids is good, but the extra small clothes fit me even if their shirts are a bit longer. :teeth:

Wow? Weve had a Rehul for a year or so at Novi, MI. I know for a while, they had a very hard time getting people to come it because its very much a closed off design...

I've always wondered why they make you shop in the dark in Hollister and Abercrombie.

It makes it more elegant and fun? I dont know why but I like it.

My dd loves Ruehl but I do have to agree the prices are more expensive than A&F. BUT, they do have a great room in the very back with all their clearance stuff and that's where to get the good prices!! :thumbsup2

Like how much for a T-shirt would you say? :confused3

Gosh. I want to go to the mall so badly.
And spend my $156 in giftcards at A&F.
Badly.

I used to work at Hollister when I was in high school. The inflated prices and the low and I mean LOW wages they pay their employees are ridiculous. I am guilty of shopping there every now and then but I feel old when I go in there.

There is one in Tysons Corner Center in McLean, VA. Just outside of DC. It's
a nice store. Great jeans. $$$$$$ :thumbsup2

Do they blast their music like they do at AF? Call me an old fuddy duddy but I am pretty sure the music in those stores is above OSHA's acceptable standards for noise pollution. I HATE AF.

That was the first question that popped in my head! :rotfl2: I think they do it on purpose so you can't think straight. I guess I'm getting old. I just sit outside the store on the bench with the other parents.

I can honestly say that I've never been in an A&F, Hollister or Reuhl. My DD14 isn't interested in the "trendy" stores (and I admit that I'm thrilled by that) and prefers to get her clothes at Kohl's, the Gap (okay...slightly trendy) and - ssssh! - even WalMart. She always puts great outfits together and gets lots of compliments on them. She has her own style and wears what she likes, whether it is "in" or not. I'm not knocking anybody who shops at the A&F stores...everybody gets to make their own choices...but I just can't see spending so much money on clothes just because they are trendy.

I think that it is slightly frightening how many kids (not commenting on anybody who has posted here...just kids that dd knows) use these clothes as status symbols. A&F and other, similar retailers know this and can charge outrageous prices because of it. It also irks me that so many of the trendy clothes have the store name plastered on them but I think it is marketing genius that these stores get people to pay money to be walking advertisements for them.

Again, I think everybody has the right to choose what to do with his/her own money. I just think that a lot of these retailers create an image that says "you have to shop here or you are nothing" and that really bothers me.

Holy cow. Have any of you looked at the page for Hollister? That's a bit overtly sexual for a young teen don't you think?

That's exactly why my kids will never get clothes from there. Which, thankfully we live in the boonies and it will never be an issue. Kids around here don't really care too much about things like that.

I do admit that they do blast it. I like it I guess  Loud music gets you pumped up and the up-beat techno that they play just gets you excited I guess.
