ABD with kids

My 30th birthday I want to do ABD. I am not sure which one yet becasue they are a few I would like. I probably wont et any adults to go with me who want to pay ABD price so I was thinking of taking my son. He will be 7 at that time. Is 7 going to be too young? Do any ABD besides the one in california visit Disney parks?

7 is not too young for most trips, as far as ABD is concerned. But you'll find some trips have a *suggested* age of 8+. Others have 6+, etc. The minimum age & suggested age are listed under each trip on ABD's website. You know your son and how he travels best. I'd suggest calling ABD, and discussing the trips you are interested in with them, and how your son travels, and they can help you pick a suitable trip.

Currently, I believe the only other ABD that visits a Disney park is the China trip, which visits Disneyland Hong Kong.

You can purchase an add-on to the London & Paris trip to do Disneyland Paris, but all that gets you is an on-property Hotel room, breakfast & VIP Fastpasses.

The last ABD I went on, I took just my 9yo son. We had a wonderful time together. His first ABD was at 7yo. ABD is the best way to travel with your son. It will give him a chance to hang out with other kids. Even the older children have always loved including the younger kids. It's like a big family traveling together.

Disney has designed most trips to be kid friendly. If you're not sure, discuss with your travel agent - I know they have some trips designated as "adult only", but most are set up to be kid friendly.

I've been on 3 ABDs: Bella Italia, Scotland and Germany, and I think Germany was the best bang for the buck. It was very well planned, had lots of good activities and was actually reasonably priced compared to some of the other trips. I also thought Italy was good value.
