We always went to Wunsche Brothers Cafe! You didn't by any chance have Burly Bowman as a Band Director in High School. He left Westchester High School in the late 70s and went to Spring.

Sadly, Wunsche Brothers burned down a couple months ago.

I actually grew up in Friendswood, down by NASA. But I did have the next Band Director at Westchester, Noe Marmalejo, at the U of H school of music. Noe was at Westchester from 1976 to 1983.

I'm sorry to hear about Wunsche Bros. I knew if I dug deep enough, I would find something....Noe was my first Band Director AND he went rock climbing with my brother on Devil's Tower. I was in WHS from '76 to '80.

Friendswood...I had a roommate at SFA from there. Graduated in 1980...Maria Sanders?

That was about 10 years before my time at FHS. I would have been in the 2nd grade. Noe is the man. I see around town, at concerts, contests, and even play a gig or two with him.

Noe was pretty young when I knew him.....but...you're right..he IS the man!
