As it stands now, ABD will not provide transfers if you book pre and/or post nights on your on. They will provide transfers if you book pre and/or post nights through ABD.
The 6/15/2015 change to this policy is as follows:
If you book pre and/or post nights on your own at the first Adventure hotel (ex. finding a rate less expansive than that offered by ABD), ABD will now provide transfers from the airport to the Adventure hotel.
If you book pre and/or post nights at a different hotel (then the one being used by ABD), ABD will provide transfers from the airport to the first Adventure hotel. The guest would then need to get from the Adventure hotel to the hotel they have booked on their own.
This can be a big deal when an airport is far from town. ABD will transfer you into town and you have to get to your destination.
Montana / Canada and Arizona / Utah are excluded from this policy because the closest airports are far from the first Adventure hotel.
For example, on the Montana Adventure, the airport is 2.5 hours from the first hotel. ABD provides one (and only one) transfer from the airport to the hotel. The first Adventure activity takes place during this transfer.
Guests looking to arrive in the area early are given the suggestion to spend the night immediately prior to the start of the Adventure at an airport hotel and make arrangements to get themselves to the airport in order to catch the transfer bus.
If you have questions or would like to book an Adventure, please let me know.
