ABD Backstage Magic 7/31 - 8/5/11

Well I packed my suitcase yesterday - I don't have much need for summer weight clothing right now

If anyone is interested in my packing list for inspiration, let me know, I'm happy to post (I have no shame)

Its about the only thing that got me through this week at work. We started our transition to "store of the future" a whole bunch of people were told their jobs were eliminated and now Im starting to have to hire for the new jobs we have created. The morale is low, but knowing that once we go live with this that I go on vacation to "meca" 5 days later is making it almost bearable. That and wine.

I agree with you 100%!! Our work is also crazy at this time of the year, and the same magic formula works for us: talking about this trip coming up and wine!!

You WILL be convinced almost immediately that ABD is worth every penny! The level of service and pampering and comfort blew me away immediately, and all of the things we get to do that aren't open to the public are worth every penny as well. The worst thing about ABD is that once you go, you're going to be so spoiled by them that you want to go back again and again. Kinda like DCL but way more.

For some reason I don't remember how many fast passes we received each day. I do remember that with so few FP-eligible attractions in DL and DCA that we sometimes had a wee bit of a challenge using them up, particularly on days that ABD had us involved for much of the day and evening (and were taking us on many attractions as well).

I'm sure the pampering is going to make the whole experience even more 'magical' - it might ruin me for my usual travel mode.
See - I'm a geography professor and travel is kind of our thing. I've travelled to most of Canada, a lot of the US, to China, New Zealand, Great Britain and Italy (not bragging it's just the nature of the job ) - often on my own and on if not a shoestring, not much more than a thick bootlace! So this is going to be really different!! Really looking forward to meeting you all, and to learning all the backstage stuff! Hoping to catch the 'The Memories, The Magic and You' show at least once - I'm actually writing about it in my latest research paper

Got my ABD Backpack hanging on the bedroom door so I can see it every day and think of all the fun we are going to have!

If I read Kevin's earlier post (#299) on this thread right, yes we will have a ticket on Aug. 5th.

Your Adventure includes a 4 day park hopper.

You will use three days during the Adventure and have a full day of park hopping that can be used on the day of departure / last day.

Please keep in mind that this ticket expires the next day and can not be extended, upgraded, sold, given away, folded, spindled or mutilated.
