How long is the drive from the airport to the hotel? I arrive at 11`ish in the morning. I just might have to Live like Lindsay Lohan on the roof all day...

It takes about between 45 and 75 minutes to get to the hotel from LAX, 15 minutes or less from Burbank. Up to two hours from Orange County/John Wayne.

If you land at 11, figure on arriving at the hotel by 1pm after getting bags and transportation.

So this is how the conversation went this morning.

Me: still asleep
Ben: My son, almost 5. Loves Disney as much as we do, he's been 4 times to the world, one of those times ineuturo.

Ben: Mamma, are you sleeping?
Me: Yes
Ben: Why is the big suitcase out?
Me: Im going to California.
Ben: Is that were the tiny Disneyworld is?
Me: Yes, Disneyland is there.
Ben: Are you going there without me?
Me: Yes, I am
Ben: Oh...
Me: ( Im my head thinking crap crap crap)
Ben: Do they have pressed pennies there too?
Me: I don't know, perhaps.
Ben: Well please bring me some back.
Me: Ok.


Phew.. that could have gone bad. But the cat is out of the bag, my almost 5 year old knows Im going and he's not.

That is so funny.
Our 4 1/2 yr. told me that we are not aloud to go on vacation with out him! Ya right!!
He gets to spend a luxurious week with his grandparents!!

I spoke with Kevin the other day and he is so excited for everyone! He knows that I'm a huge Walt Disney fan and will probably cry through most of Walt Disney Studios and Walt's Apartment. I also speak with John daily, he loves to torment me about what we 'might' see without giving anything away. I'm really trying not to know too much, I love surprises.

We did find out my Daughter Sarah will be the youngest on the tour. She is 16, almost 17 and a huge Disney fan (like her Mom). You will like her.

I do have something for everyone so please make sure see me the first night.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!

Definitely bring tissues to Walt's Apartment - probably to the Studios too! Hopefully we will need them for a trip to Club 33 as well (oh please, oh please)! Can't wait to meet you and Sarah! We'll all have a blast.

8 sleeps to go - sometimes it just hits me and I'm like this

Mostly packed - I'll drag the suitcase out at the weekend and finish up as much as possible.

We go next Friday night and I have a full work day on Friday so when I finish work it'll be a dash home to grab the suitcase and go straight to the airport. Then its the wait - wait for our flight to Auckland, wait for our flight to LA etc

All this waiting and I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!

Rachael Ray is doing a big cross country cooking demo today. They're set up at the Hollywood and Highland complex where we'll be staying! You can see the shopping complex, Mickey's Soda Fountain, El Capitan! I usually don't watch this show, but to see where we'll be in less than a month (woo-hoo!!) is really cool!

I saw the commercial and got all excited because I recognized where they were set up. Woohoo!!!
