Has anyone been on the ABD Arizona & Utah trip within the past 6 months? Any helpful comments to consider for a trip in June?

Welcome to the DISBoards and the ABD Forums, Irish1234!

The Arizona & Utah trip generally only runs from May through September, so no-one will have taken this trip in the last 6 months. The last 10 months, yes, but not the last 6 months.

Sayhello

It will be hot, scorching hot in June. I was in Phoenix, Sedona and the Grand Canyon last summer (June 20-26) and by 10am it was already over 100. I drank so much water, I don't think I could ever get enough!

Wear light colored clothing, brings lots of sunscreen and drink plenty of water - have a good trip!

I was on that trip in early June. We took drink packets with added electrolytes (I don't think it was Gatorade, but something similar) to add to our water bottles. It was hot, but still enjoyable.

Thank you.

Wondering if you also have any advice on nice places to eat or extra activities to sign up for.

How many/what ages are in your family?

Our favorite activity (myself, DH, & DD- 12 at the time) was the ATV tour in Moab. It was just us, a friend from our group, and the guide. We had an absolute blast! Pack old clothes because you will get filthy. I am NOT an outdoors person at all, but there was something about going as fast as I could across the creek as the water & mud flew over me that was awesome! lol

When you are in Sedona, the main pool is nice. We also enjoyed playing 'golf' on their chipping course.

Thank you. 2 kids 13 & 10. That does sound fun.

We are all set to take this trip the first week in July ! After the cold and snow of this winter (in fact it was snowing 2 days ago) I am looking forward to some heat ! LOL
