ABD 2010: Disers Go West - Let the Fun Begin

Oh! I just remembered something! I had a VERY detailed dream this morning before the alarm went off. We were still on our trip. We were on the motor coach headed somewhere.

You were all there. So were Jaime and Michael. (I feel a little bit like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz telling you that.)

OK this is really really weird . . .

Dino told me yesterday that he had a dream about being on the bus with everyone. He didn't remember the dream too much, but said he felt happy when he woke up

I was happy too! Cue the "Twilight Zone" music I guess.

I have a question about the CD/code received. The CD is the copy to the slides shown at the fairwell dinner I assume. The code gets us on to look at the pictures...is this the code Dreams paid for so we can get the free photpass CD or is this just to see the pictures?

It's my understanding (from John [3guysandagal] in chat last night - I haven't received ours yet) that the package includes BOTH the DVD and the Photopass CD that DU already paid for. So, even though the code is included, at least John didn't need it because the CD was already there. Since he's been uploading pictures to Photobucket from that CD, it must be legit.

He didn't want to "spoil the surprise" for folks - so I don't know if there's more to it than that and I'm sorry if I've let the cat out of the bag inappropriately.

Perhaps someone else who's already received the package can confirm?

Just from a quick glance it seems like all of the pictures the guides took are on the CD along with the slide show.

Well, nuts. I only got the DVD and a code to see all the pictures on the photopass website, but I'm pretty sure they want money if I order photos. I need to look more closely at what I got. John got a DVD and a CD, two things??

I looked more closely and as far as I can tell I only got the DVD. When I go to the photopass website there are a TON more photos than the guides took that ended up on the slideshow DVD.

If your computer is set to auto play when you insert a DVD just quit the player and open the DVD.

First and foremost, my heart goes out to you all dealing with painful family things now. I wish you all peace.

Second, I have been staying off the boards a lot since we got back from vacation. I have not even really looked at my pictures. I am having a VERY severe post-vacation depression! I don't have a trip planned and that is not the norm and I think it is playing havoc with my mind.

I would love to join you all on the cruise, but I don't think I can swing the cost of a single supplement and my kids can not get out of school and my DH will have used up his vacation time on dumb things like hunting by that time. So, I am feeling sorry for myself and I just can't muster enough happiness to relive the ABD trip. Yet. I know the time will come and it will be wonderful. But for now, I am trying to gather enough will just to come back to the boards and check stuff out.

I have been able to listen to the podcasts though. I am proud of myself!

And just to chime in on the CDs, I got nuthin'. But I got my ABD stuff later than most of you as well.

First, I figured out the DVD and now have over 800 pictures I am SO HAPPY right now. I even teared up a little. I can admit that here.

We would love to have you. Last, you must come back to our thread so you can admire my scrapbook pages. I have discussed the cruise with my DH and he is onboard with me going without my family. Hmmm, he wants me to leave. Again?... Anyway, I am hoping that I can work something out. I really want to go. Really. I do.

And I have been reading posts through email on my phone, so I have been looking at your pages. I looooovvvvee them. I am a paper scrapper. I get it. I get the time and thought that goes into each picture selection. Each embellishment is there for a reason, the colors must work together, the harmony of the page must exist. I honestly get it. I also get that my DH gives me the head nod of "Great work, honey. Now can you get out of the way of the TV?" Your pages are beautiful works of art. You should be very proud of yourself.
