ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

Ugh. I'm with Rosie. Gotta think about H a little. tomorrow I'll guess.

As far as a PTR goes, I'm thinking about it. I'm not sure I would be able to follow thru with it. I promised DH I wouldn't plan and we would just go with the flow. It might just kill me. :lmao:

Oh come on... don't you want something to suck up almost every spare minute you have? Where's your sense of duty?? :lmao::lmao:

And hey, we'll all make your plans FOR you, so we can take the fall. :rotfl2:

So, I'll wait for your H guess later. Meantime, you saw the update, right?

Hi Kim!! got your guess!

Hi Kim!! got your guess!

I guess aPTR would make much difference since the DIS already takes up most of my free time. :rolleyes1

I actually recruited Brooke to make my plans and take the fall for me. :lmao::thumbsup2

And yes, I did see that you did an update but I have to go back and read it. Life kept me busy yesterday. Gonna read it after I get Jack off to scholl this AM.

Update re read.
I love your pictures. You find alot of things I have seemed to miss.
Funny, your "weenie" rides were some of my favorites as a little girl running around Disneyland. If I remember right, it was a really long time ago, I used to play at the Robinson's for hours and PotC and Small World were my favorite rides. I have since traded in the scary singer and now Splash is my #1.

Ummm, Tate looks VERY happy with what he accomplished that day. :rotfl2:

Almost forgot my H guess Your girls are waiting on a horse drawn carriage near Hoop Dee Doo Review?

Let me get my H guess in before I make rope drop at Hollywood Studios this morning. I have some TSM to ride!

Ok I'm finally caught up. Liesa, Great Updates. While reading your post about Lunch at Yak and Yeti, I saw the picture of the menu and thought "Oooo those pinapple wonton things sound good," then I got to the part in your post about dessert and then thought "Well I guess that answered my question!" :crazy2:

Hi Leisa,
So glad you had a wonderful Mothers's Day! Loved all your updates! Your letter H was a bit tricky, my guess for H is Hoop Dee Doo Review and Hayride with Horses/or horseback riding.

Hi Liesa,

Well here is my "H" guess.... Hoop Dee Doo and Horses. I am so glad you had some good weather at the beach over the weekend!! It is a rare thing!!!!

I've never been there but I am guessing...

Alrighty!

So, is that the one I see in your sig. now??

YAYAY! for Brook!! I'm glad she's doing that now!

I"m so behind on several of the TRs I read too- tough to keep up sometimes!

Almost forgot my H guess

See! That didn't take you long!

My eye were peeled, and my camera was ready!! Fun stuff!

I call them weinie rides, but in actuality, they are some of my very favorites too- and like you, it's been a LONG, LONG, time since I was afforded the luxury of "doing" them. The kids always want to race from thrill to thrill and aren't patient enough to slow down and take in the slower attractions that really are just as neat! Solo is the ONLY way to get those in!! And my camera was READY!!

I totally forgot to mention (well, it just didn't fit with the story) that I actually shed a tear or two on that first ride of Pirates. Oh WAIT! I went on it twice. The first ride had an obnoxious kid talking through the whole ride- so I had a re-do. The second spin through was PERFECT! I was the ONLY one on my boat and I got a little misty as I remembered how it was my favorite ride with my grandma- the one whom a lot of this trip was in memory of- I remembered how, as a little girl, maybe I was 7 or 8, she bought me a Disney coloring book and I had spent HOURS coloring the scenes of pirates, and how I took great pains to make the treasure room scene just right- and how she crooned over my childish abilities of fine crayon art.

Amazing how cathartic a Disney attraction can actually be!!!

Tate had some fun times!! I wonder what memories he's brought home...

So JEALOUS!!

Have a super fun time there today!!!

Glad I saved you from disaster!! :scared1: HAHA!!

And it's great to have you back!! I plan to catch up on your thread today too!! :goodvibes

Now this is a total guess but I am gonna

Great job, Rosie!

Thanks, Wendy!! IT was lovely! Looks like H wasn't so tricky afterall! ;)

(All together now: “Why is the rum always gone?!”)

And WHY do people throw their trash around??!!

Look at Liesa rocking the movie quotes! I feel so proud. (sniffle)

The trash...well, I have no answer for that one.

Now, who knows where else you can find a reference to Bwana Bob at WDW?? And what is the context?

:confused3

Love the colors in this picture. :goodvibes

You know the famous story behind that chess game, right? It's one of my favorite Disney details.

Time for Letter H!!

Hmm...that's not easy. I'll try this: The washboard makes me think it's the Hoop De Doo Revue. Which is near Horses, Horseback riding, and Pioneer Hall.

Hi Liesa,

Well here is my "H" guess....
I am so glad you had some good weather at the beach over the weekend!! It is a rare thing!!!!

I know! Even in July it's tough to get a perfect day without wind or showers!

I thought of you when I typed that! I did well, didn't I?

Ok, since no one took a stab at it, (and that surprises me because it's come up before and Glenn was all over it.) I'll let you in on another Disney cool thing.

I don't have the entire spiel from JC memorized, but I believe Bwana Bob comes up in one of the jokes there.

But the REAL one I was thinking of is over at Animal Kingdom in the Flights of Wonder Show. "Bwana Bob" is the star of the show, and he plays a tour guide. I doubt many people make that connection at all, but Bwana Bob's goes WAYYYYYYYYYYY back to when I was a kid and for some reason that place always intrigued me. Back in the day at DLR, it was a gift shop that sold rubber snakes and tiki torches and stuff and was right across from the ancient Polyneisian dinner theater Luau thing that was by the JC. I always wanted as a kid to do the Luau, but my dad never spring for it. Anyway, there ya have it- the very long version.

Love the colors in this picture. :goodvibes

That one really turned out well. I'll bet I could have used a photo enhancer and brightened it up a bit. I'll have to play with it some more.

I do!!!! The famous stalemate game that can never be won- and was lost during a refurb, but found again scribbled on a napkin that Mark Davis used as notes! LOVE that story!!

Hmm...that's not easy. I'll try this:

Looked pretty easy to me, and I guess to you too afterall.

I hope I'm not too late. I'm going with at Hoop de Doo (waiting for it to start) and near horses and a hall

Love the update Liesa. I just can't understand why, when there has to be a garbage can at every turn, people can't dispose of their stuff properly. I can certainly understand why the Robinson family departed, ;)

I didn't know that, that's interesting. When I read Capt. O's post I suspected that it was a stalemate.

+5 :thumbsup2 for excellent use of movie quotes.

And I will consider this an official Liesa TR shout-out!! :woohoo::cool1:

I had no idea on that one. But I'm glad you could fill me in! I love hearing the stories behind the attractions.

Good guess, Kathy!

Thanks, Kathy! ITA!! Walt put trashcans every 20 paces or so because he saw that folks won't use them if they are less frequent- are people just that much more lazy now?? :confused3

It was a classic case of "there goes the neighborhood".

I thought that Bwana Bob was in Flights of Wonder, but thought that there was probably more to the story than that.

I didn't know that, that's interesting. When I read Capt. O's post I suspected that it was a stalemate.

It wasn't more complicated than that. I was surprised no one chimed in. I'd be curious to know how many readers I have who've watched the FOW show.

Yep- a stalemate game- and the story line says that those guys sat there trying to finish out the game until they died.

:headache: OK, my son just missed the bus- again- I'll be back to read more TRs and keep this up in a bit! (WIth my AM coffee)
