ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

Thanks Everyone!! It IS a very special day for me- my BD and MD happens every few years or so- and of course, I take advantage of that! Today, we're going to the beach and I get to go out to both lunch and dinner AND do a bit of shopping at antique stores! :woohoo:

But you know what makes the most special?? My family will be there with me!

Once again- Happy Mother's Day to all you special ladies!

And Happy Birthday!! :lovestruc

Happy Birthday, Liesa. And although I already said it earlier, Happy Mother's Day too!

Hi All! I'm back and trying to catch up with all the busyness we came back to. I see I have 14 or so pages to read here, so I'd better get busy! :3dglasses Don't forget to visit my TR!

Once again,

Thank you all for such wonderful wishes on my birthday and Mother's Day!!!

I had a simply beautiful day shopping, eating out not once, but twice, coffee, some lovely gifts opened on the beach, and SUNSHINE!!!! I visited the shortest river in the world (the D River), bought a handpainted little ceramic nightlight, and watched the waves crash on the shore with 4 of my kids. Then I came home to a phone call with my 20 year old son, who told me, "I love you, Mom!" as he hung up.

EPICEST DAY EVER!!!

Yeaaaaah, Tammie is back!

So glad to hear you had a great day Liesa. :lovestruc It's always good to hear your kids love you, especially on Mother's Day. :goodvibes
It truly was the epicest day ever!

I'm so glad your Mother's Day / Birthday was so special. We too went to the beach ( tradition). It was Meadow's first time riding the rides. She loved them. :cutie: And Jack had a blast playing football at the break of the water with DH. I'm still not sure how their feet weren't freezing tho. :confused3 Top that off with Thrasher's fries and homemade icecream...yeah good day. Oh and I can't forget about the Disney trip DH agreed too :yay:  :cool1: Yup it was the EPICEST DAY !

I love the balloon photo and the one of Henry examining the nugget! Looks like a great meet and a grand start to your time in the MK!

So glad you had such a nice bday/mom's day! And Belated congrats to Andrew and you on the award! What an accomplishment!

Woo-hoo - not only did I get in on this round of the game but I scored a point!:banana::banana:

Thanks guys- I before E except after C. I know that, but apparently my fingers don't and my eyes did not catch it. Now Glenn has to go back and edit his quote because my Danism is stuck in his reply. :lmao:

That's okay -- I don't know how many time I misspelled it in my PTR. That was even more embarrassing than spelling "streak" as "steak".

Liesa, Happy (belated) Birthday!!!

Happy Be-lated birthday! Glad you had a good Mothers day and Birthday:thumbsup2

Hooray for a fun dismeet with royalty. What a fun start to your MK tour for the evening:goodvibes

:sad2: I didn't get my guess for G in on time, oh well time to focus on H

Saying a cheery good-bye to Princess Brook, with high hopes of meeting again in a few days, I left for the continuation of the Imperial Tour of my Kingdom. The main goals of the afternoon and evening here were to hold court with Princess Brook, as well as to be treated to a spectacle of lights and a rousing rendition of the “Electric Fanfare” and “Baroque Hoedown”. Everything else would be icing on a royal cake.

Now, if you’ll kindly turn your attention to my musings before the trip- almost 2 years ago- here is what I was thinking (little did I know then that the amazing transformations of going from Soldier, to Starlet, to Post Host, to Adventurer, to Princess would happen!)

“Soldier #1 will take many more photos, and with God's grace, they will be of much of better quality than last trip's, which were pathetic and too few. It will be a bigger focus, but not so much overly so, that maroo and TPW, get annoyed.”

Be happy I’m not showing you all of them. You might be on the “was annoyed” list.

Meantime, here are a few offerings of what came of that tenet:

LiesasWDWPix2010224.jpg

LiesasWDWPix2010219.jpg

Also:

“Soldier #1 will spend a good bit more time taking in the weenie rides and attractions that no one else seems to appreciate very often. Maybe you have to get to the decrepit old age of 42 to reminisce the good old days when you were grateful to just BE at Disney with Mom and Dad? Maybe your ummm.... softening body can't do Dinosaur too many times anymore? I don't know, I just know, I'm excited to discover those hidden gems once again!”

(So you aren’t held in suspense for too long, YES! I did!)

So, that’s what I set out to do. But first things first-

LiesasWDWPix2010217-1.jpg

Even princesses have to take care of business, and what a better place to do it than right near the palace!

LiesasWDWPix2010218.jpg

Then it was onto visit the remoter reaches of the kingdom to visit some long lost friends who had an unfortunate accident on the high seas. In this case we learn though, that attitude is everything, and even the worst of situations can be made so much better with a close family and a firm faith!

LiesasWDWPix2010229.jpg

LiesasWDWPix2010227.jpg

Along the way, I was treated to some spectacular views of my realm from high in their lofty and utterly creative home.

LiesasWDWPix2010235.jpg

Apparently I had just missed the Robinsons, for the table was set and the water system was running. Thankfully though, they left me with this:

LiesasWDWPix2010231.jpg

But upon closer inspection it was gone!

(All together now: “Why is the rum always gone?!”)

And WHY do people throw their trash around??!!

LiesasWDWPix2010238.jpg

Now, who knows where else you can find a reference to Bwana Bob at WDW?? And what is the context?

LiesasWDWPix2010223.jpg

I hung around waiting for the Robinsons to return, but they didn’t show up. Perhaps the same folks who threw their trash around their lovely tree house brought the value of the real estate down just enough to make them move out of the neighborhood altogether. (Note to self: Lock all litterbugs away for life in the dungeon by royal decree.) My next official duty dictated that I must find those responsible for such a heinous act of inconsiderate offense, and I knew just the place!!!

LiesasWDWPix2010242.jpg

Everything looks tranquil out here,

LiesasWDWPix2010239.jpg

LiesasWDWPix2010240.jpg

but once inside it is an entirely different and sinister scene- a place where dead men tell no tales.

LiesasWDWPix2010243.jpg

LiesasWDWPix2010246.jpg

Oh look! There are a few now!

LiesasWDWPix2010245.jpg

In order to disguise myself well, I traded in my tiara for one of these-

LiesasWDWPix2010251.jpg

I guess I did a fantastic job at fooling that crafty Jack, because in the end, I was successful at accomplishing what I had set out to:

LiesasWDWPix2010248.jpg

LiesasWDWPix2010247.jpg

with the help of my trusty page Tate, and decided to give him the evening off to find his own entertainment. Among other places, he chose to go here:

LiesasWDWPix2010260.jpg

I tried to get him to tell me how his evening went, but he was rather mum about the entire occasion. All I got out of him were a couple of photos, which only serve to pique my interest even more about his possibly dubious soiree. Apparently, it involved a bear and a shack.

I'm so glad you had nice weather and could get outside! I hope you cooked a nice meal for Candi too!!

Yeah, Tate must have had some BIG fun!! And ended up in the ODDEST places!

PS. do you have crocs?

just a question i am asking today

I do, but they went missing in the move- they are hot pink and have a set of Minnie Jibbitz in them!! I'm sure they'll turn up as we continue to find boxes that were stashed in our attic, but so far nothing. I can't wait to find them, and hope I do before the weather gets hot.
