Topics: Characters, Rides, Shows, Attractions & Lands common to both WDW & DL. Some letters will be tricky and you’ll have a little more leeway with them.
REQUIREMENTS DEFINED
Photomat: double matted, must fit a 4x6 photo without cropping, smallest layer usually 4 ¼ x 6 ¼. The mat must be embellished -- inked, brads, eyelets, ribbon or fiber, matted stickers, paper-piecing are some examples. Please note: the photo must be able to slip under any embellishment.
Journal Box: total of 3 layers, the journaling space minimum size is 2x2. It must be embellished (see above)
Topper: In lieu of A is for… as part of the title, we will be highlighting the letter in some way. Glitter, different or larger font, some embellishment, pop-dots, different mat.
The topper is not to exceed 8x2, must have at least 2 layers and be embellished.
Elements (pick one):
Paper piecing
2 Tags -- minimum size 2x3, 2 layers, must have ribbon, fiber, eyelet etc in the hole, and be embellished in some other way
License plate
2 embellished Slide mounts
Library pocket & tag -- tag should have 2 layers and have ribbon, fiber, eyelet etc in the hole. The pocket should be embellished.
Signage/bookmark : max dimension 8 inches
File folder: 1 med or large, 2 or 3 tiny ones, embellished
3 Altered paperclips
Quote/lyrics: 2 layers, minimum quote/lyric area 2x2, maximum dimension 8 inches, embellished
Shakerbox
3 Shapes: 2 layers, embellished
3 squares: double matted, max size 2x2, embellished
You can mix & match -- 1 tag and 2 shapes or squares or altered paper clips, 2 squares & 1 shape
Excluded: embellishment baggie and store bought items(i.e. Jolees). I think we are looking for speed in completing our albums, so I’d like to stick with finished elements. I have also left off photomats and journal boxes since it is already a requirement.
Mailing and packaging info will be provided later. Please be prepared to include flat rate priority postage and delivery confirmation postage.
Signing up
1. Due to the limited number of spaces, I will not be accepting pre-sign ups. If you are not available on sign-up day, please find a surrogate to sign up for you. If you do not have one, please let me know and I will find one for you.
2. I will open another group only after the first one fills. Again, no pre-sign ups for that one either.
3. You may choose 2 spots (4 letters) per group. This project is labor and cost intensive. Please do not sign up for more than you can handle.
4. When you sign up, please list several choices in order of your preference. Like this: B T D F any 2 spots. If B is available it is yours, if T or none of your other choices are available I don’t have to hold everything up trying to find out an alternate, I will try D then F and then just make sure you get a spot. If you only list B and T and those are not available, I will move onto the next request and wait for your new request.
5. You do not have to post your topic choice at sign-ups. I will ask for the topic at first check-in.
