ABC 8x8 - POSTAL!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I have everything prototyped...Today I will finish assembling the elements swap and this weekend get everything cut and ready to assemble in this swap (and somewhere in between I need to get started on the completed pages I an angeling for the Epcot Swap):faint:

Today, I will spend the day bagging up all the supplies for the ABC swaps that I have lying around here so I can throw the things together when I get an evenin. I will need 11 evenings to get this one done if I have eveything separated in their own 2 gal bag.

Will be good to go by mail by date.

I think in those terms too! Except I think you must work faster than me. I have needed two evenings to get one group down. I think I need to turn off the TV.

The TV is the only way I can stay focus. Plus, when I go to DBF then I have something to work on when he and Stone are doing "guy" stuff. They go off and look for deer, etc.

I've got to finish Epcot this week... than next week, I will cut each group out one a day.. than I will start assembling one a day after that.. I will be mailing by July 28th.

Thanks.

Finished Smackerel! I survived the 39 tiny bees. Not sure what group will be next. I have 3 groups left. I am really hoping to finish this week. DH will be home tonight and I plan to work all day the next two days.

My dad is a part-time bartender -- he is going to bring me some beer boxes so I can sort these into 2 gallon bags in the boxes as the come in. If that works out, I should be able to turn this around pretty fast.

Anyone know where to get some 2 gallon bags cheep? BJs has 2.5 gallon bags, 30 for 6.99. Shoprite has 2 gallon bags, 20 for $5. I haven't been to Walmart lately (I hate it I hate it I hate it)

Nope, no idea where to get them cheap. I paid the big bucks for mine at the grocery store because I couldn't find them cheaper any place else.

On a side note, I did have nightmares last night. For some reason I have it my head that I need to make pooh pages. I kept taking things from my pooh pages for the element swap so then I didn't have things for my pooh pages. I also kept taking things from my Mickey pages for the element swap and would have to remake them when assembling the pages. It was terrible. My Cricut started to over heat and I melted a cutting mat that was full of Mickey paper piecing pieces. And then I couldn't find the phone number for the non emergency police line because someone took all my cartridges. I kept thumbing through the phone book and finally threw it because I was frustrated. Thankfully DH woke me up. Don't know where it would have went after that. It was a very bad dream. I am afraid of what I will dream about tonight. :scared1:

The cheapest 2.5 gallons I found were at Walmart.. 2.98 I think I paid maybe 3.98.. I know it wasn't over 5.00..... and they are awesome.. Hefty jumbo is the brand I got...

AWM, that was quite a nightmare!!!! Hopefully you'll have happy dreams tonight!

Two gallon bags are hard to find around here. I got my last ones at the grocery store when they had them on sale, 2 boxes for $6.00.

I am moving on now to the little stars from the M&F cart -- I played around with my pile of cut stars forever trying to figure out how they go together. I had marked them so I would now which end was up -- what a mess! I didn't mark them right. Some are marked on the front, some on the back. Finally I taped one set to my cutting mat and I am matching each one of the 78 stars before putting it in the xyron. Ugghhh --- it is taking forever.

I feel your pain. I didn't mark my letters for some of the toppers and it isn't obvious which way is front and which is back or even right side up with the Ss. 78 star pieces is the stuff of nightmares.

I have the background paper down on the cardstock, all the elements assembled & inked where needed. I just need to put the elements on the paper tomorrow for "Where are we?". Right now it has the fake topper for journaling, along with the suitcase and little suitcase tag.
Do you think it needs more? I could make another plain tag to tuck behind the other photo mat. What do you think?
I'll check back in the morning before I start to stick stuff down and can't change my mind.

I think it's time to either lay off the sauce or the swaps! :lmao:

Finshed Quite Magical and one page of X layout. Still hoping to be completely finished by the end of the week.

I've got Kodak Moment, Mickey Mouse, and Hats completed. I'm going to work on Ice Cream today and hopefully get it finished. I want to have them all done by Monday.

The hardest is going to be the Cover/End Pages. I don't know what I was thinking when I created that one. It sure wasn't that I had to do 12 more!!!!!! Just for the characters, I have to make 48 (4 for each set)!:scared1: But, DH took pity on me stressing out and he is assembling/gluing them for me. He's doing a great job, I may just have to hire him to help me more often. It'll all depend on what the payment will be. He says I owe him for this!
