I haven't been on in so long, but I thought that I should include my TR for any of you who are interested!
Finally
I have to begin by saying THANK YOU again to all of you who, although you may not realize this, are a wonderful support system for brides to keep their sanity during a wonderful, yet sometimes stressful period.
DAY 1
I woke up on Sunday morning excited and just ready to get on that plane to sunny Orlando. Our flight was at 8am (we had to leave the house at 5:30am (DEAR LORD!)
I just sat in the back with butterflies in my tummy, stared outside the window until we reached the airport.
My dad dropped us off, I got kind of teary eyed when I hugged my dad goodbye because I realized my last night at home had come and gone. Off to find my sister, Sara and her husband Henry, and my two nephews, Tyler and Julian (sooo cute!). We finally found each other; checked in our luggage, and skipped through the wonderful security escapade (Im being sarcastic).
Jonathan held my dress and I played with little Julian while we waited at the gate awwwwwwww!
I'm sorry for the HUGE photos.
OK, so we get on the plane and of course my BIL, Henry, somehow told the stewardess that we were going to Disney to get married .and of course once we landed the stewardess got on the intercom and announced it to everyone. Some people clapped and wished us congrats, but there was this old woman, who looked like Dorothy from the Golden Girls next to me who just smirked, and turned away, she didnt find us very amusing and could care less where we were getting married. I just chuckled because I felt the biggest urge to scream out Hiya Dorothy!.
Finally!!! I smelled the clean Florida air! At baggage claim we realized that JetBlue lost one of the bags, a small carry-on bag that I had checked in. I was resolved to be as nice as possible and give them the necessary time to find it, so we filled out some paperwork and left hoping to hear from the airline later that day.
AAHHHHH but back to reality because I was about to meet Jonathans family for the first time. They had arrived in Orlando on Saturday.
I was a bit nervous but Jons family was so sweet that they really made me feel very comfortable. They met Jon and I at the Beach Club and then we went to Sea World.
Side note: Jons family hadnt seen him for 2 years so when they finally met us it was like dramatic music playing in the background and him and his family running towards each other in slow motion I was left behind trying to catch up(great)
Anyway .
Wooohooo SHAMU! After years of begging my dad to take me to Sea World, but only going to boot-legged aquariums, I was finally going to meet Shamu and see the real deal.
Shamus show was called Believe .hmmm, very similar to Wishes ..Anyway, the trainers were frolicking in the air and dancing with Shamu, very amusing
Jon's family and I on our first day (GoSH my ****s are just gushing out of that sweater!)
Me, Maranda (sil), Joan (mil), Michael (bil)
JOn's BIL had never been outside the state of CO so he was amazed with all the marine life.
I don't know who that little boy in the back is..innocent bystander picking his nose
My favorite part
Once the show was over it started to pour so we rand inside to get something to munch on while the rain subsided.
Maranda and her husband Vidal.
Unfortunately, the rain would not stop and we needed to leave, so Jons mom, Joan, swiped garbage bags from the ladies restroom so Maranda and I could put wear. Heres how the conversation went:
Joan (to Jons sister, Maranda): Here honey put on the plastic bag, it will keep you dry.
Maranda: MOM! I am not wearing a garbage bag around the park!
Joan: Common Maranda! Here Abby, you take one too.
Abby: (no comment, I just stared and prayed that someone would intervene quick, common, I just met her, I cant say no!)
Joan: Here jonathan, help Abby with her bag.
Abby: (OMG! I cant believe it, common Jon, tell your mom that I dont need that!)
NO help, I just bit my lip and pulled the bag over my head, sheesh
So later we all had dinner @ Konas with Jons parents Joan & David, his sister and her husband, Maranda and Vidal, and his little bro, Michael.
Kona gave us a very pretty dessert for free which was very sweet!
It was pretty good. The worst part of the day was over.
