I'm so sorry she's still in pain...Hopefully the ortho will have some answers for you soon so she can be pain free or at least reduce it dramatically.

I am trying to see the penny...is it the 'line' going horizontal towards the bottom? I am terrible at reading xrays...and I'm going to school for Nursing!!! LOL!

Yes it has been crazy. Unfortunatly there are a few new fractures She is actually dealing pretty well, besides the pain. She is so reseliant (?) though.

I love kids. It's always such a mystery why they swallow things. I remember my brother swallowed a bingo chip once. My poor parents rushed him to the hospital to make sure he was ok (everything turned out ok). When they asked why he did it 'I dunno know'. I hope she passes the penny without any problems.

I'm also hoping that everything turns out ok with the compression fractures.

LOL about your brother. She was throwing the penny up in the air and it came down in her mouth and down her throat. Only my child. LOL

We go to the ortho on Thursday and see if he wants a TLSO brace or not.

Glad she passed the penny. Thankfully out of 5 kid..no one has swallowed any foreign objects....yet...lol. Not sure how I have gotten off with that.

Thank you all for all the kind words for Abby. She is still in terrible pain from the compression fractures. This is her 3rd day home from school due to the pain. Thank goodness she goes to her ortho dr. tomorrow. I am hoping for a TLSO brace for her back. We have had alot of pixie dust the past couple of days and I will post pictures tonight. I just want to say I love everyone on these boards and thank you for praying for Abby and our family.

With Abby having a horrible week, it was so awsome to receive a BIG GIVEthis week and some special pixie dust.

The first is a Donald shirt from Becky (do not know her disboard name)

Here she is with her Donald Shirt, it is so cute, she just loves it. Thank you so much Becky!!!!!

This is a Mom's De-stress book that my WONDERFUL boss made for me, it contains everything from a packet to hold our tickets, to packing lists, to secrets to each park and alot of other things.

This next thing was TOTALLY AWESOME!!! When we first found out our dates, my boss asked me if she could do a 30 day countdown calander for Abby. I had no idea the lengths she would go through to put this together. This thing is HUGE!!! It looks like a big card, but when you open it up it is amazing. There is an envelope for each day until we leave. Inside each envelope there is an activity for us to do that night, a tidbit of information on each of the parks we will be visitng and on the outside there is a number, that number goes along with the bag of presents that is beside the calander. Last nights envelope had a number 5, all 5 of us got a surprise, a disney journal and a special pen, tonights was a #1, Abby got a Disney poster, she has movie nights on the weekend, and even some weekends she included 2 movies. I am just so overwhelemed with her doing this for my daughter and my family.

Yes, she gets a gift every day Most days all 3 kids get one Nope no painting, lets just say after being laid up with her back for 3 days, she was having some fun with her tattoo kit

Took Abby to her ortho appt and finally got some awsome answers. She goes next Friday to a ped. endocronologist to see about starting a treatment program for pam, which is an infusion of medicine on a regular basis. It can possibly strengthen the bones and minimize bone pain. I have been fighting for this for a while for her. She also got a back brace to support her back.

When he looked at the xrays, he saw alot more compression fractures from the last time her spine was x-rayed, so I think that is what triggered the treatment.

I will be so glad when we get the meds actually started, but happy to know that we are on our way.
