abbreviations in forums?

Hi, Im a nre member and I am SO EXCITED to be apart of the DISBoards! I have to tell the moderators and creaters your doing such a great job! Its so nice knowing there are other disney obsessed people out there...

I was wondering about the abbreviations people use on the board, I understand most of them as shorts for the resorts and such, but others I just have no clue what they are! lol, like in the trip reports many people use letters like DD, DS, ect to name their family. Can someone give me a quick heads up on what all this means? Thank you so much!!

Those are the easy ones..lol. DD=dear daughter, DS=dear son, DH= dear husband. There is an abbreviations list you can get to from the main page for the rest of them (I have to reference it frequently for those codes for Disney stuff).

Be careful or the next thing you know you will start to speak DIS abbreviations in normal converstations !

DH and I now say POTC rather than saying the whole thing (Pirates of the Caribbean). I've almost said DS in a conversation with someone who isn't even on the DISboards , she would never have known what I meant if I didn't catch myself before saying it!

Alright guys...If were going to teach people what DD & DS means lets get it right...
This is the Disboards...it is DISNEY DAUGHTER....DISNEY SON etc...

I have to agree - I often see people explain DH, DW, DD and DS with dear or darling but being on the DISboards I always think of them as DISNEY H, W, D and S!!!
