Time to go home :sad1:

Alarm set and up again for 7am. We packed up and everyone said that they'd not slept well at all :( So we went down to breakfast and were seated quickly in the restaurant downstairs. It was a nice big room with buffet breakfast. I noticed it was all adults and think they must have been on a conference.

Unfortunately we all ate very little, which was a bit annoying as I knew it would be hours before we'd eat again. DH didn't like the cereal, which wasn't branded like it is at HNY, Abbey didn't like the hot stuff, and there were no rolls for Lewis. No apple juice either, so nothing for Lewis as he doesn't like fresh orange.

We went back to the room and got our cases and checked out. The receptionist asked if we'd had a good stay and for once I was honest and said no. She asked why and I explained about beds and air con etc, and she said that we should have phoned to reception. If we'd been there longer I would have, and if it hadn't been so late I would, but really these things shouldn't have happened in the first place. I'm not keen on service industries putting the onus back on the customer to contact them all the time. The room should have been perfect. Anyway, I don't want to dwell on this as we may well have just been unlucky.

A nice lady from Ezyshuttle came into the lobby looking for us at 8:15 - our pick up time was 8:20, so a very, very good service from them :thumbsup2

We made our way to the airport and were dropped at our terminal door, again great not having to navigate this ourselves. We checked in, and made our way to the gate. In Glasgow airport there are shops/cafe after security, but not at this terminal. We queued for security without knowing this, but the agent told us that once through there were no toilets/facilites etc, so we decided to stay out for another hour or so and had something to drink. Lewis found a Marvel colouring book in the shop :cool1:

Finally through security very quickly and just waited on our flight being called.

Boarded with very little time to meet take off, 12:05, due to delays with flight attendants, but we had a good flight

Arrived back in Glasgow to pouring rain (what a surprise ;) ) and the shuttle bus to the car park was waiting on us :thumbsup2 Got car and were home by 2pm, to Mark and a perfectly clean house. Even washing had been done!!

Final thoughts:

Park was absolutely stunning, beautiful and very fresh following all the refurbs. I loved the 20th Anniversary decorations and really enjoyed just being there again. We managed the queues well and loved all our favourite rides.

The Hotel New York is still as good as the very first time we stayed there, very well maintained and CM's lovely. Lovely extras for us, and beautiful view. Will definitely go back there again.

Dreams was the absolute highlight for me - just stunning :lovestruc If I could go to Disneyland and watch it every night and not do anything else, then I would :cloud9:

Again, a wonderful time had by us all. I can't quite believe it's all over and like everyone I'm now counting the days until I can plan to go again. :goodvibes

 sigh, just read all of your days in one go - fabulous. Thanks for posting all your pics, including the one of your VIP fastpass.

So ......... whens the next trip :rolleyes1:rotfl2:??

I've got a 'burst' function on the camera which takes loads of photos right after each other, so I used that for Dreams and just held it up and pointed. I didn't want to watch it through a camera, so it was a hit and miss with the photos :lmao: I didn't realise there were so many, and I haven't even posted them all :rotfl:

Next trip......I think I'll have to start planning that soon - I'd love to be able to go back before Dreams goes - but need to start digging for gold to afford it :lmao::lmao:

I don't even think I'm going to bother getting my camera out for Dreams, it couldn't do the show justice (or maybe thats my rubbish camera skills).

Awwww it's all over... :(

Glad you had a great trip & I'm sure it won't be too long till the next one!! ;)

I feel the same! We've bought a new camera for this trip after my rubbish photos last year, but even with the next 6 months to learn I don't thinkI'll be up to the job!! :rolleyes2

Fabulous trip report - really enjoyed reading it. I hope you get to have another ticker soon. :goodvibes

Thanks Elaine - I hope so too :goodvibes

Once again, such a great TR Julie! :goodvibes

I hope you manage to work something out soon to end up with another ticker ;)!

I can't wait to see Dreams - I sat tonight and said to DH "Exactly 3 weeks today we'll be at DLRP watching Dreams!" :hyper: And my girls have no idea :lovestruc.....

Glad Mark was OK and the house was in one piece on your return - honestly I don't even think DH would have managed the washing if I were away :rotfl2:.

Just finished your TR. :)

Thanks so much for sharing and for so many lovely photos. :) I skipped the Dreams ones again. But well done taking them. My firework/nighttime photos never come out.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the HNY so much again and that Abbey got a lovey view for her birthday. It's made me very excited to be staying there that you love it so much. :)

Fab trip report.

Thank you for sharing it with us. Photos fanatastic.

You have given some great tips about watching dreams. Is it worth taking a soft cushion to sit on?
Hate sitting on a cold floor. Going in August but know floor could still be cold or wet:rotfl2:

I think you're going to love Dreams Torsie :lovestruc I hope you love the HNY too - I worry that sometimes I hype it up a bit much and others won't like it -so please don't hate me if it doesn't come put to sratch - that goes for you too dlpdreams :lmao:

Thanks

I think you'll probably want to stand to see Dreams. Loads of people were sitting, but that was with open space around them. Many also sat whilst waiting on it starting. The kids just sat on our jackets and were fine.
