Official Snow Day here! DS thought he was coming down with a cold, so at least this gives him an extra day to rest. I still have to go to work for a few hours this morning. This is our 4th snow day....

My mom, sister and stepsister are off today. It's their third of the year. Not me though. UNH apparently doesn't cancel school unless inches of ice are being predicted.

It's snowing here in Southern Maine but no snow day.

My oldest daughter went to UNH, (graduated in 2005), and I remember how mad she would get because the college hardly ever cancelled classes! She would call me on her cell phone as she was trudging to classes through the snow and cold, complaining the whole time and wondering what exactly it would take to cancel classes at UNH.

Today was a scheduled day off, teacher professional day. But the surrounding towns have school. It is coming down good, and there is about 5" so far. why they all have school....

BTW, I have GOT to start listening to the weather forcast. I had no idea it was supposed to snow last night/today. What a surprise I got this morning.

DD5's afternoon kindergarten was just cancelled, but DD8 and DD16 have school all day. I don't get why they cancel afternoon K, but still have the others stay all day....they still need to get home at 3:00...why can't the afternoon kids still go at 12:30??

Don't mind my whining....I was just really looking forward to some quiet time this afternoon!!

It takes ice. We had a day where exams were cancelled back in December when we had the ice storm. Of course it was the day of my only exam so that was pushed to the last day instead of the second to last day

My sister is off school today, but not me. Penn State is operating on a compressed schedule, which means classes started at 10AM. My morning class was cancelled, but I have class at 1:45 and a presentation for my film class at 7:30PM.

I have lost track of how many days have been cancelled so far. My DS is in AM Kindergarten, so when the school has a delay AM Kindergarten is cancelled. I believe its been 3 days cancelled for the whole school and 2 for just AM Kinder.

Well they are "curtailing operations" here at 2 pm. Too bad my last class ended at noon
