Yeah for you Heidi!!
I got my 1st cell phone a year ago for DD to take off to college with her..I never saw the phone..only the bill!! But this past summer we changed over to a family plan so we could call each other on cells. Now I still get the bill (more $$) but I have my own phone too! Although, DD had to sit me down and give me a few lessons before I could use it!

We got the family plan too as dh had to up-grade is old one, and he sat down with me and showed me how to use it.

My DH has had a mobile phone since 1996 and it never rings..! I remember the first time he had a voicemail message on it, around 1998 or so... It was someone asking him if he was playing football at the weekend - basically a wrong number (my DH never played football)! Poor DH was gutted...

Congrates on the cell phone. You'll love it for travel but if your like me it doesn't work in my house. Have to go stand out near the highway to use it. Oh well saves on minutes but look out when I get away from home.
