today is my 180 day mark for making adrs. :surfweb:got up nice and early to make an online ressie, only to find the system is not allowing you to book past 5th May, even with a reservation number.
now i've got to wait until lunchtime for U.S phonlines to open up and book that way. was hoping to get ahead of all those booking in the U.S by taking advantage of the time difference, plus online booking would have saved me a few quid. oh well, back to the old drawing board as they say

I think the onlibe booking opens opens an hour earlier than the telephone lines. Also use one of the discount companies for telephone calls, usually costs us 0.5 ppm (cheaper than ringing the uk number !)

when i did mine, you could book the on line an hour before the telephone lines open.

Online you should be able to do from 11am, phone from 12 Noon.

Edit Seems there are problems still with doing 180+10 online so you might have to ring, as Rob says use a cheap rate number. many here http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/intcallchecker/usa
I use Telediscount. not sure if its in this list http://www.telediscount.co.uk/
They charge 1p/min, the MSE link says Virgin charge 22p/min, last years ressies took me almost 90 mins, so that would be 90p with Telediscount, £19.80 with Virgin. Quite a difference.

A few threads complaining about online ressies, another update planned 16th Nov, hopefully we will see improvements then.

ok thanks. that would make sense, that way its fair to everyone; rather than us having a 5hr advantage because of the time difference. i already have the number for telediscount if the system won't let me book my +10 days

Do you think things are a little confused today because the clocks went back in the USA last night?:)

so does that mean they are still 5 hrs behind, seeing as ours went back 2wks ago

wayneg, good job i checked your link, as the access code for the US seems to have changed since i used it last (now ends 8686, not 7878)

Think so, but I'm easily confused. :rotfl2: DD was out there this time last year working for Disney and I know that for a short while we were only 4 hours apart, then the clocks changed in the USA and we were back to the 5 hours.

Now back to 5 hrs apart. Between 31st Oct (when UK changed) and today we were only 4 hours apart. I flew back on the 31st - very confused when I got home, after a night without sleep!;)

just called. tried to book our adr's to be told its too early and i need to call back tomorrow. i've double checked our check-in date using the Dis calculator, and its showing as 180 days out today. i wanted to book tusker house bfast for our first full day (day after arrival). which will be 180 days out tomorrow, but as a resort guest i should be able to book for the fisrt 10 days of my stay. should i call back and hope to het through to someone else or just wait until tomorrow?
check in date is 7th may
or do i have it wrong

The Dis calculator was a day out for me as well when I did mine last March - I think it has some kind of kink in it. Have you manually counted your days to double check?

With Check in date of 7 May - ADRs will be 8 May.

We check in on the 19th and our ADR day is 20 November :thumbsup2

i have now manually counted the days, and yes it is tomorrow; so the the dis calculator was a day out. and to think i got up at 7am especially  still now i know for next time. i'll let you know how i get on tomorrow

and at least i used telediscount to call, otherwise it would be an expensive mistake. i wouldn't be laughing then...
